Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
📋 Changelog - Version [1.2.0]
🚀 New Features
-
Multiplayer Scaling: A new mechanic designed to make monsters more challenging in multiplayer based on a scaling system (in the spirit of Diablo 2). The more players there are, the stronger the monsters become. This was introduced to balance situations where multiplayer Daily Blessing cards stack, preventing players from becoming overly overpowered.
Daily Blessing Cards:
-
[Midas Touch]: Makes gold armor, tools, and weapons viable again! Weapons receive a 40% damage bonus, and tools get a 2.5x speed multiplier. Wearing a full set of gold armor makes piglins completely ignore the player (even if attacked) and doubles piglin bartering loot.
-
[Bloody Leech]: Converts 15% of dealt damage into healing—the more damage you deal, the better the healing, with a maximum cap of 2 hearts.
-
[Fortune's Blessing]: A fortune-based card designed to make the vanilla "Luck" effect much more useful through a custom mechanic. Check the in-game card description for full details.
Permanent Cards:
-
[Symphony of Ruin]: Every 10 days, a catastrophic cataclysm will awaken in the world, featuring 10 waves of diverse monsters and bosses accompanied by epic music. Think carefully before activating this card—are you truly ready for the challenge?
-
[Astral Annihilation]: A massive meteorite periodically appears in the world, flying in from the side of a random player. Upon impact, there is a 5% chance of finding Ancient Debris in the meteorite's core. This is a rare and momentous event.
-
[Hellish Incursion]: Opens the gates of the Nether into the Overworld. Once a player enters the Nether, there is no turning back—demons will invade the surface, and nothing will stop them.
⚖️ Balance & Changes
-
[Bedrock Skeleton]: Improved with a custom AI and 3 distinct shooting modes depending on distance. It now properly draws its bow as originally intended rather than just firing a secondary arrow like before.
-
[Earthquake]: No longer destroys important player blocks such as chests, furnaces, anvils, machinery, and similar utilities.
-
[Treasure Goblin]: Renamed to Treasure Rabbit.
-
[Monster Horde]: Slightly nerfed; hordes will now spawn further away from the player instead of right next to them, and the duration of mob status effects has been reduced.
-
[World Bosses]: Loot rewards for defeating each boss have been overhauled to match their respective themes, providing much better variety and thematic incentives.
🐛 Bug Fixes
-
Fixed a bug where cards responsible for world events could trigger in dimensions other than the Overworld (such as the Nether and the End), which was never intended.
⚙️ Technical Improvements
-
The card selection button is now tied directly to the cards' own animations.
-
The active card viewing interface has been polished: you can now control the scrollbar using your mouse cursor, and the scrolling behavior has been made much smoother.
I’ve tried to make this update more significant and interesting than the last one, I hope you enjoy it! I put a lot of effort into the "Symphony of Ruin" card, in particular, to make it truly engaging, and hope you like it, and that no new bugs will crop up.
