New

• Builders: “Help a house in progress”. Free builders can join the house being built closest to you. Handy when one builder finishes a small house while another is still working on a bigger one.
• Different eating sounds for each cookie. Miner cookies sound metallic (the helmet), farmer cookies sound like a regular cookie, courier cookies sound like chewing paper, and builder cookies keep their crunch.

Changes

• Shorter Builder Wand menu. The main menu now has only Build houses ›, Flatten terrain ›, Follow me, Call and Sit/stand. The house options are inside Build houses ›, together with how many builders to send and “Help a house in progress”.
• Farmers only work crops at a Cookie Beacon in Farm mode, and only with a hoe. With the Farmer Wand alone they only mow grass and flowers (by hand or with shears). They tell you this when you give them a hoe or bone meal away from a beacon.
• Farmers spread their bone meal. They fertilize the smallest crops first and won’t fertilize the same crop again for 30 seconds, so the bone meal goes across the whole field instead of looping on one block.
• Builders can’t sit while building a house, either one by one or with the “Sit” button, so the house isn’t left half-built.
• Slower leveling. Minions level up 25% slower, and miners 50% slower.
• No more chat message every time a minion stores items in a chest.

Bug fixes

• Minions now move their arms when mining, chopping, placing or breaking blocks, harvesting, opening chests and fighting. Before, they just stood still staring at the block.
• Farmers no longer get stuck standing at the edge of a beacon zone, for example on immature crops next to a water channel, while ripe crops waited elsewhere. Minions linked to a beacon now find their way around inside the zone instead of trying to walk out of it.
• The Courier menu is no longer too dark. The panel was drawn on top of the buttons; it’s now behind them and lighter.
• Builder Wand menu fits on screen. Before, the options went off the bottom and the −/+ buttons overlapped the text.

Notes

• Farmers at beacons need a hoe. Without one they stand still and show a crossed-out hoe icon.
• Every player needs 2.8.x. Since 2.7.0 the network protocol changed, so a 2.6.x client can’t join a 2.8.x server or world.
