Constant Threat

This mod is intended for hardcore Minecraft players and we want you to appreciate the goal that we accomplished when writing this mod.
Goal: Create a mod that makes the game harder without adding to much to the vanilla gameplay. We did not intend to code this mod to be compatible with any other mods, but there still might be some compatibility. The intent is for a one click install for hardcore players to try an attempt to survive some new challenges that we through into play. (Any Mod that does not edit the same items, blocks, or entities will be compatible)
Version 1.01:
- Created a config with various options (more adding in the future)
- Added a config option for all IDs.
- Added a config option to toggle sleeping.
- Added a config option to adjust monster aggro range.
- Changed the oven recipe and texture. (Recipe under new items)
- Changed the texture for the jug of water.
- Fixed a error with difficulty not updating correctly.
Food Changes
- Cookies recipe outcome has been lowered from 8 down to 2.
- Cookies now restores 1/2 hunger bar down from 1.
- Bread now restores 1 hunger bar down from 2.5.
- Cooked chicken now restores 1.5 hunger down from 3.
- Cooked pork and beef now restore 1.5 hunger bar when consumed, down from 4 hunger.
- Carrots now restores 1/2 hunger bar down from 2.
- Baked potatoes now restores 1 hunger bar down from 3.
- Poisonous potatoes now restores 1/2 hunger bar down from 1.
- All raw meat (chicken, pork, and beef) restores 1/2 hunger bar down from 1, 1.5, and 1.5 respectively.
- Raw chicken’s chance of food poisoning has been increased to 90% from 30%.
- Consuming raw pork chop and raw beef now has a 75% chance of food poisoning.
- Apples now restore 1/2 a hunger bar down from 2.
- Raw fish now restore 1/2 a hunger down from 1, and now have a 75% chance of food poisoning.
- Cooked fish now restore 1 hunger bar down from 2.5.
- Rotten flesh now restore 1/2 a hunger bar down from 2, and now has a 100% chance of food poisoning.
- Mushroom stew now restores 1.5 hunger bar down from 3, and the recipe requirement has been doubled and a bowl of water is needed instead of a bowl.
- Spider eyes restore 1/2 hunger bar down from 1.
- A cake slice now restores 1/2 hunger bar down from 1. Consuming an entire cake now restores 3, down from 6.
- Pumpkin pie now restores 1.5 hunger bar down from 4.
- Watermelon slices now restore 1/2 hunger bar down from 1.
- Harvesting a melon block now yields 1-3 down from 3-7. With a fortune tool, the maximum yield has been lowered to 4 down from 9.
- Crafting a melon block now only requires 4 melon slices, down from 9, and is a shapeless square recipe.
Monster Changes**
- If a creeper activates its fuse, and the player loses line of sight, the creeper will still explode.
- Creepers have a larger activation range, it is now doubled.
- Creepers will still move when they are activated.
- Zombies, creepers, and skeletons will see the player at a further distance (64 blocks).
- Zombies and creepers are attracted to torches at a large range of 64 blocks.
- When a creeper comes into activation range of a torch they will sprint to the torch then explode.
- While standing by a torch, a zombie has a 20% chance every second to destroy it.
- Chickens now drop 1-4 feathers, up from 0-2.
Item Changes
- All potions now restore 2 thirst droplets.
- Eggs can no longer be thrown; therefore, chickens cannot be spawned from eggs.
- Beds cannot be slept in; therefore, they do not skip the night. Now beds only move your spawn point.
- Buckets of water now place contaminated water which is undrinkable and does not hydrate farmland.
- Water bottle, and potions restore 2 droplets of your thirst bar when used.
- The furnace can no longer cook food.
New Food
- Pork Sandwich, restores 3.5 hunger bars. (2 bread, 1 cooked pork)
- Beef Sandwich, restores 3.5 hunger bars. (2 bread, 1 cooked beef)
- Chicken Sandwich, restores 3.5 hunger bars. (2 bread, 1 cooked chicken)
- Fish sandwich, restores 3 hunger bars. (2 bread, 1 cooked fish)
New Items
- The oven, cooks food twice as fast as the furnace and can not cook anything else. (8 bricks)
- Water Jug has 6 uses, restores 2 droplets per use. (7 glass, 1 leather)
- Bowl of water, you can now collect water with bowls, restores a half of a droplet.
New Systems/Misc Changes
- Added a thirst system, where thirst goes down overtime with new GUI and items.
- The player is slowed when they are hit by damage greater than 1 heart, the duration is affected by the amount of damage.
- New GUI option, toggle stat display bars/icons (F12). This option toggles between Constant Threat bars, and Minecraft’s original stat icons.
- Added contaminated water, which is undrinkable and does not hydrate farmland.
Installation
1) Download Minecraft Forge Version 9.10.0.789+
2) Navigate to %appdata%/.minecraft/mods.
3) Place the Constant Threat.zip in to the mods directory.
4) Survive!
We allow streaming and server use of this mod.
