Configurable Spawners Port

Unofficial Fabric port of Configurable Spawners for Minecraft 1.20.1, with customizable spawner behavior, effects, particles, and light-level rules.

Configurable Spawners Port

Configurable Spawners Port is an unofficial Fabric port of Configurable Spawners for Minecraft 1.20.1.

This port brings the original mod's configurable mob spawner features to Minecraft 1.20.1, while preserving its core functionality and adding compatibility fixes and additional configuration options for this version.

Features

Customize several aspects of Minecraft mob spawners:

  • Minimum Spawn Delay — Configure the minimum time between spawn attempts.
  • Maximum Spawn Delay — Configure the maximum time between spawn attempts.
  • Spawn Count — Change how many mobs a spawner attempts to spawn.
  • Max Nearby Entities — Configure the nearby entity limit used by spawners.
  • Spawn Range — Change the radius in which mobs can spawn.
  • Required Player Range — Configure how close a player must be to activate a spawner. The vanilla default is 16 blocks.
  • Glow on Spawn — Newly spawned mobs can temporarily receive the Glowing effect.
  • Glow Duration — Configure how long the Glowing effect lasts.
  • Spawner Particles — Enable or disable spawner particles.
  • Custom Spawner Particles — Choose from multiple particle effects.
  • Ignore Light Level — Allows mobs from spawners to spawn regardless of artificial light or skylight, including in fully illuminated areas and under open sky.

Port-exclusive Addition

Required Player Range is an additional configuration option introduced by this port. It allows the vanilla 16-block player activation distance of mob spawners to be customized.

Configuration

The mod can be configured through its configuration file.

When Mod Menu is installed, the configuration can also be changed through an in-game configuration screen.

Note: Spawn Range controls the area around the spawner where mobs can spawn, while Required Player Range controls how close a player must be for the spawner to remain active.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Fabric Loader
  • Fabric API
  • Java 17
  • Mod Menu — Optional, for the in-game configuration screen.
