configswitch-1.0.0-alpha.3+1.21.1.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Third alpha. The headline is that uncategorized configs are now something you can act on, not just a pile you ignore.
You can now classify what doesn't match
Files that couldn't be matched to a mod used to sit in Uncategorized forever — either leftovers from mods you no longer have, or configs whose names simply don't look like their mod.
Now there's a Classify button on the Uncategorized row. It opens a screen where you pick a file on the left and a target mod on the right (the most likely ones are sorted to the top), or mark it as Ignore.
- Nothing is written until you press Done — pick wrong and you can change your mind. Your choices are shown inline as you go.
- Decisions are remembered across packs and across restarts, so you only do
it once. They live in
configswitch/mappings.txt, next to your other settings. - The built-in mappings ship in that same file, so you can see (and edit) them.
Fixes
- The scrollbar in the mod list could not be dragged — it only responded to the mouse wheel. It does now. (Only the very edge of it was clickable, which made it look like nothing happened.)
- Typing in the search box could leave the list blank until you scrolled. Fixed.
- Searching with no results now says so, instead of showing an empty list.
- The same scrollbar problem existed in the Backup screen. Fixed there too.
- In the Classify screen you can now search by mod id as well as display
name — useful when you remember
yaclbut the mod calls itself something else.
Known limitations
- Minecraft 1.21.1 only, Fabric only, Windows only.
- Mod configs take effect after a game restart —
options.txtapplies immediately. - Configs stored in subfolders of
config/aren't scanned yet. - Classify only offers mods you have installed. A config for a mod you haven't installed yet can't be aimed at it in advance.
