Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
What's New
This update significantly improves modpack compatibility analysis, change tracking, mod removal simulation, fix safety, and scanning reliability.
Improved Compatibility Analysis
- Improved the classification of runtime warnings, errors, and informational observations.
- Reduced misleading compatibility warnings when there is insufficient evidence of an actual failure.
- Improved the distinction between confirmed problems, reduced functionality, and harmless runtime observations.
- Preserved original error messages and diagnostic evidence while improving how findings are classified.
- Improved resource ownership verification to better distinguish original mod resources from generated datapacks and other resource providers.
- Fixed unstable diagnostic IDs caused by changing Java object addresses in runtime logs.
- Repeated
Unknown recipe categorywarnings now retain stable IDs across game restarts. - Different recipe errors remain separate even when their log messages have similar structures.
More Accurate Resource Scanning
- Added streaming SHA-256 processing for large binary resources without loading entire files into memory.
- Improved support for binary assets exceeding the previous 16 MiB per-resource scanning limit.
- Improved detection of active resources when the live resource scanner cannot fully inspect an oversized file.
- Fixed false-positive loot table changes caused by differences between
loot_table/andloot_tables/directory naming conventions. - Improved resource comparison without suppressing genuine content modifications.
- Improved reporting of skipped resources and incomplete scan coverage.
- Preserved configured scanning limits and accurate
COMPLETE,PARTIAL, andFAILEDstatuses.
Redesigned Changes Tracking
- Reworked the Changes screen to focus on actions actually performed through CompatScope.
- Added separate views and counters for applied, staged, pending, historical, and archived actions.
- Improved the distinction between prepared fixes and changes that have actually been applied.
- Staged actions are no longer presented as active modifications.
- Pending Apply and pending Rollback operations are displayed separately.
- Applied changes can now show whether their generated resources were confirmed by a subsequent scan.
- Improved preservation of recorded actions across repeated scans and game restarts.
- Added clearer action descriptions, timestamps, safety information, and verification results.
- Moved detailed technical identifiers into expandable sections for a cleaner interface.
- Improved Russian translations and status labels.
The Changes screen tracks actions recorded by CompatScope. It does not claim to track every manual modification or change made by another mod.
New Compare Pack Experience
- Added a dedicated Compare Pack screen, separating modpack differences from CompatScope's own actions.
- Added switching between Since Baseline and Last Scan comparisons.
- The baseline comparison shows cumulative differences against the saved reference.
- The Last Scan comparison shows differences against the immediately preceding completed scan.
- Switching comparison modes does not reset or overwrite saved history.
- Added display of the saved baseline's creation date when available.
- Improved explanations for resources that may appear newly indexed because earlier scans had incomplete coverage.
- Improved reporting of dynamically generated resources that may change between scans without changes to installed mod files.
- Preserved raw change information so users can investigate genuine differences.
Improved Fix Safety
- Strengthened verification of resource providers before applying compatibility fixes.
- Improved consistency between Fix Preview and the actual Apply operation.
- SAFE resource fixes now require matching live source data and SHA-256 verification.
- Improved protection against applying a fix when the selected resource provider cannot be verified.
- Resources without sufficient verification remain subject to manual or conditional review.
- Improved verification of generated compatibility resources after applying fixes.
- Improved distinction between a fix recorded as applied and a fix confirmed by the latest scan.
- Improved rollback state reporting and preservation of existing Fix History.
CompatScope continues to avoid automatic changes when the available evidence is insufficient.
Clearer Fix Availability in Reports
- Improved the Fixes interface and HTML reports with separate Apply Ready, Plan / Preparation, and Apply Blocked categories.
- Improved consistency between in-game Fix availability and exported HTML reports.
- Separated live Apply eligibility from the underlying
SAFE,CONDITIONAL, andMANUALsafety classifications. - Improved reporting when live Apply verification is unavailable.
- Added clearer information about which fixes can be prepared but cannot currently be applied.
- Improved presentation of active generated fixes and scan-confirmed changes.
- Preserved revalidation before Apply, even when an earlier report marked an action as ready.
Improved Mod Removal Simulation
- Improved predictions of which mods and integrations may be affected when removing an installed mod.
- Added clearer separation between required dependencies, optional dependencies, content references, and unrelated graph context.
- Improved affected-mod counts by excluding Minecraft and loader framework nodes from dependent-mod totals.
- Improved classification of related findings so informational warnings and historical crashes do not automatically increase removal risk.
- Added clearer explanations of why a mod is considered affected.
- Improved presentation of dependency relationships and associated compatibility findings.
- Improved risk classification when mandatory dependencies or verified compatibility relationships are involved.
- Improved simulation screen readability, labels, and navigation.
Simulations remain read-only and never uninstall mods or modify the modpack.
Sinytra Connector Compatibility
- Added improved identification of Fabric mods running through Sinytra Connector.
- Added mod-origin information distinguishing native mods, verified Connector-translated Fabric mods, and unverified origins.
- Improved identification of translated mods using available source evidence rather than assumptions.
- Added Connector-aware dependency analysis and mod removal simulation.
- Simulating removal of Sinytra Connector can identify verified Fabric mods that depend on its translation layer.
- Improved handling of Forgified Fabric API modules to avoid misleading dependency counts.
- Improved the simulation mod selector with support for recognizable Connector names and aliases.
- Improved separation of native mods, translated mods, and bundled API modules.
- Prevented duplicate counting when the same dependency is represented through multiple relationships.
- Preserved access to detailed dependency information.
Connector support is optional and does not require Connector to be installed in ordinary modpacks.
More Reliable Scan History
- Improved persistence of large modpack snapshots and diagnostic histories.
- Added compact snapshot storage and bounded GZIP compression for oversized internal history data.
- Improved compatibility with previously saved snapshot formats.
- Improved migration of large legacy snapshot files.
- Added stronger validation before replacing existing history data.
- Improved handling of corrupted or incompatible stored history.
- Existing snapshot data is protected when migration or writing fails.
- Improved reporting when scan analysis completes but its history cannot be saved successfully.
- Improved handling of unavailable server-only data during client-side analysis without reporting missing information as empty data.
Improved Server-Only Compatibility
- Improved optional networking behavior for installations where CompatScope is present on the server but not on every client.
- Improved handling of connections that do not advertise CompatScope's optional communication channel.
- Preserved GUI and networking functionality when compatible client-side support is available.
- Improved compatibility checks for communication between client and server installations.
HTML and JSON Reporting
- Improved reporting of active fixes, staged operations, rollbacks, and scan-confirmed changes.
- Improved the accuracy of Fix availability counters.
- Improved presentation of resource providers and verification evidence.
- Improved separation of diagnostic severity from investigation priority.
- Improved the interpretation of incomplete runtime findings.
- Preserved original diagnostic evidence when findings are reclassified.
- Improved reporting of scan coverage and historical diagnostic comparisons.
- Improved explanations of dynamically generated resource changes.
- Improved consistency between exported reports and in-game analysis results.
Performance and Stability
- Reduced memory usage when processing large binary resources.
- Improved handling of large stored scan histories.
- Reduced unnecessary diagnostic duplication caused by unstable runtime identifiers.
- Improved handling of incomplete resource scans without hiding genuine differences.
- Improved protection against invalid or oversized persisted data.
- Improved resource ownership matching to reduce misleading provider attribution.
- Improved reliability when scanning large modpacks with many resources and dependencies.
- Various interface, localization, and compatibility improvements.
Validation
The changes have been tested in real Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric and NeoForge environments.
Fabric
- Successfully completed full scans of a large modpack containing more than 250 registered mod IDs.
- Confirmed that previously skipped oversized binary resources can be included in complete scans.
- Confirmed the removal of false-positive loot table changes.
- Verified zero resource differences across consecutive scans of an unchanged modpack.
- Verified stable runtime diagnostic IDs across game restarts.
- Confirmed preservation of Fix History and an active, scan-confirmed generated compatibility fix.
- Successfully generated HTML and JSON reports.
NeoForge
- Successfully completed compatibility scans and generated HTML and JSON reports.
- Confirmed preservation of Fix History and recorded rollbacks.
- Tested Connector-aware analysis and mod removal simulation.
- Preserved detection of dynamically generated resource differences.
Notes
- Existing Fix History and saved comparison baselines remain supported.
- Some stored history may require compatible migration when moving from older internal formats.
- A first complete scan after incomplete coverage may identify previously skipped resources as added.
- Dynamically generated content can produce differences without changes to installed mod files.
- CompatScope does not automatically classify every detected difference as a compatibility failure.
- Some features and edge cases may require further validation in individual modpacks.
