Compat Artifacts (Unofficial Patch)

An unofficial patch for the Compat Artifacts mod by FixerLink.

⚠️ Why Does This Exist?

The original Compat Artifacts mod contains critical typos in its codebase that cause game breaking artifact drops from unrelated blocks in the game, rendering it unplayable without the fixes. The original project has been completely inactive for over 7 months, and community comments detailing the issue have gone unanswered.

If/When The original Mod is fixed. And or the Original Author requests, I will remove the files for download. The goal is not to take away from the original mod, only create a way for others to play using it, while the other gets sorted out.

This standalone fork fixes those exact typo-induced drops, allowing the compatibility features to function seamlessly in modpacks without breaking the game experience. NOTE: This does not directly fix any crashes. If this resolves any crashes that may have been occurring, that was entirely unintentional.

⚙️ What Was Fixed?

• Corrected Typos in the original mod which caused Game Breaking Artifact Drops.
• Direct drop-in replacement for the original mod, no extra configuration required.

📜 Licensing & Open Source Compliance

This project is fully compliant with the original mod's licensing structure. The original code by FixerLink is licensed under the MIT License, which explicitly allows redistribution, modification, and sub-licensing.

• This fork maintains all original copyright notices.
• GPLv3 components (Alex's Caves, Ars Nouveau, Ice and Fire) remain entirely intact and open-source.
• Creative Commons assets (Quark, Twilight Forest) are distributed non-commercially under identical ShareAlike terms.
