# Colorful Creeper

Colorful Creeper lets you recolor vanilla creepers using any of Minecraft's 16 dyes.

Dyed creepers preserve the original texture's shadows and bright highlights while taking on the selected dye color. Each color has its own special ability that activates when the creeper or matching colored TNT explodes.

Defeat dyed creepers to collect colored gunpowder, then use it to craft colored TNT with the same ability.

## How to Dye a Creeper

1. Hold any vanilla dye.
2. Right-click a creeper.
3. The dye is consumed and matching colored particles appear.
4. The creeper keeps its color and corresponding ability.

Dyes are not consumed in Creative Mode. Applying the same color again does not consume another dye.

## Colored Gunpowder and TNT

When a dyed creeper is defeated, its normal gunpowder drop is replaced with gunpowder matching the creeper's color.

Craft colored TNT using five matching colored gunpowder and four sand or red sand:

`G` is colored gunpowder of one matching color.

`S` is sand or red sand.

Colored TNT can be ignited with flint and steel, fire charges, redstone, burning projectiles, and chain explosions.

## Color Abilities

| Color | Ability |
|---|---|
| White | Pulls nearby entities toward the creeper or TNT while the fuse is active. |
| Orange | Summons lightning at the explosion position. |
| Magenta | Converts nearby blocks affected by the explosion into amethyst. |
| Light Blue | Strongly launches affected entities away from the center of the explosion. |
| Yellow | Summons lightning at the explosion position. |
| Lime | Applies Poison for 10 seconds to affected living entities. |
| Pink | Summons 5 random friendly mobs within a 5-block radius. |
| Gray | Applies Wither I for 10 seconds to affected entities. |
| Light Gray | Applies confusion for 5 seconds and forces affected entities, including players, to move randomly. |
| Cyan | Launches affected entities approximately 20 blocks upward. |
| Purple | Creates a deadly poison area with a 4-block radius for approximately 30 seconds. Entities touching it receive Poison II for 10 seconds, and the poison can be lethal. |
| Blue | Has three times the normal explosion power. |
| Brown | Attempts to grow 3 oak trees within an 8-block radius. |
| Green | Drains the remaining health of affected living entities and summons primed vanilla TNT based on the amount of health drained within a 5-block radius. A maximum of 512 TNT can be summoned per explosion. |
| Red | Creates fire around the explosion area. |
| Black | Can explode up to 3 times. Creepers return as unlit black creepers, while TNT places another unlit black TNT block after the first and second explosions. |

## Creative Inventory

Colorful Creeper adds its own Creative Mode tab containing:

- All 16 colored gunpowder items
- All 16 colored TNT blocks
- All 16 colored creeper spawn eggs

- Minecraft Forge 47.x
- Java 17

No additional library mods are required.

For multiplayer, install the same version of Colorful Creeper on both the server and every connecting client.

## Modpack Policy

You may include the official CurseForge release of Colorful Creeper in CurseForge modpacks.

Please do not re-upload or redistribute the JAR as a separate download.
