Colony Contracts
Your colony deserves clients, not just workers.

Colony Contracts is an addon for MineColonies that gives your settlement a reason to be visited: a contracts board that hands out daily jobs, a colony-wide prestige score, and a monument that physically changes as your colony earns fame.
It adds no new mobs, no new ores, no new machines. It is a layer — it makes the content you already have mean something.
The loop

Every completed contract feeds one colony-wide prestige pool. Prestige unlocks harder contract tiers, and the obelisk at the heart of your town rebuilds itself when you cross a threshold — progress you can see from across the base.
Contracts Board

Place it inside your colony. It is a 3x2 multiblock — put down the core and the rest of the board forms around it. It offers three contracts, drawn from a weighted pool:
- Bounty — clear a tagged mob type (undead by default). Progress counts while you fight inside colony borders.
- Supply — deliver goods your colony produces. Items are consumed on claim.
- Delve — bring back a specific drop. Unlocks at the second prestige tier.

Don't like an offer? Hit Reroll — it swaps that contract for a new one instantly, with 3 rerolls per colony per day. Rerolls cost no prestige and do not break your streak; the daily limit is the only brake.
Every dawn the board resets on its own: all three contracts are redrawn and your rerolls are restored. No clicking required.
The Obelisk of the Fame

A real monument, not a single block: 5x5 blocks in the footprint, 6 blocks tall — a stepped base, a tower and a glowing spire.
- Boulder — 0 prestige — raw grey stone
- Chiselled — 60 prestige — cut stone with faint runes
- Abyssal — 200 prestige — dark slate, bright runes, brighter light

- You place only the core (the tile with the glowing medallion at the front of the base). The rest of the monument forms itself around it.
- The monument repairs itself: knock out a plate and it is back within 5 seconds.
- To remove or move it, break the core — that dismantles all 38 parts. The item's tooltip says so.
- Prestige is stored per colony, never in the blocks. Move the monument and your progress comes with you.
Break the obelisk with a pickaxe (stone or better); the board with an axe.
Bring your own contracts

Contracts are datapack JSON — no code required:
{
"type": "bounty",
"tier": 1,
"title": "contract.mypack.spiders",
"icon": "minecraft:spider_eye",
"target": "minecraft:arthropod",
"amount": 8,
"prestige": 2,
"weight": 10,
"cooldown": 6000
}
Drop it in data/<yourpack>/contracts/ and run /reload. For bounty, target is an entity tag; for supply and delve it is an item id. Any mod in your pack can be a contract target — boss mods, food mods, tech mods.
Requirements
- MineColonies — required
- BlockUI — required (ships with MineColonies)
- Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1+
- Singleplayer and servers. Install on both sides — the mod has GUIs.
Current state
Working: 3x2 contracts board with rerolls and daily reset, three contract types, colony-wide prestige with persistence, 5x5x6 obelisk with three tiers and a stats screen, datapack contracts, crafting recipes, pickaxe/axe tool requirements, EN/PL translations.
Not there yet:
- contracts award prestige only — no item rewards yet
- no permission checks — any colony member can claim or reroll
- per-contract cooldowns are parsed but not enforced
- no per-player contribution ranking
Balance numbers are first guesses. Feedback of the "this felt wrong" kind is genuinely useful right now.
