Coffee Craft Expansions

Adds realistic coffee production (and Starbucks) to Minecraft

Realistic coffee production in Minecraft!

Adds coffee production with many items: The coffee cherries, coffee beans, and, well, coffee!

It's intended to replicate real life coffee production (honey process). This means that some thing may take a long time to be finished (specifically, drying the beans). You will also need the instructions on this mod page and Just Enough Items to fully enjoy the mod.

-- MANUAL --

How to make coffee:

First, you have to get one coffee cherry. This can be done through breaking grass, killing hostile enemies (very rare) or by finding a BukStars (the minecraft starbucks bootleg). Just remember that you can get a maximum of 3 cherries by breaking grass and/or killing hostile enemies throughout your entire playthrough, so try to not lose those initial 3 cherries so you don't have to go out searching for Bukstars.

Then, you should plant them in watered farmland like any other crop and wait for it to grow (you will know when it's fully grown because flowers will appear on the texture of the crop). Then harvest the crop with a hoe and repeat the planting process until you have enough cherries to proceed (make sure to save at least 5 cherries to replant so you don't have to look for randomly generated Bukstars to get cherries). Now, wash the cherry. This can be done by putting a water bucket and a coffee cherry on a crafting grid (your bucket won't disappear after crafting, just that the water will disappear). Now place the washed cherry on the crafting grid to get a raw coffee bean from it, and the first steps are done.

Now, put the raw coffee bean on a furnace (make sure you put at least a stack of coal as fuela and constantly check on the fuel to add more, trust me, it's better to be safe than sorry) and leave it there for at least 5 in-game days. --TIP: If you're going to be smelting more than 1 bean, it's recommended you use a furnace for each bean so you don't have to wait 5 days for each bean. Also, it's better to use charcoal than coal, since you can stock up on wood way more easily than regular coal.-- When it's ready, the bean should be dehidrated.

Now, craft a campfire and put the dehidrated bean in your main hand. Then just right click on the campfire to get roasted coffee beans. Great, now you're almost done!. Now right click on the campfire with the roasted coffee bean to get coffee powder. --Note: Roasting beans is instant, but turning them into powder on a campfire takes about a real life minute--. Now, just get a water bottle and your coffee powder and put it on a brewing stand (make sure it has enough blaze powder to work, obviously). Now, you have finally, finally, made coffee.

Extras:

Coffee is not the only type of drink on the mod. You can also make a Triple Shot Espresso coffee which gives you a long and strong speed boost! To do that, you'll want to get 9 roasted coffee beans and fill up every spot on a crafting table to compress it and get a compressed roasted coffee bean. Now repeat that process one more time. Great, now in the crafting table put a regular coffee drink on the middle of the crafting grid, then place one compressed roasted coffee bean on the slot above, and another one on the slot below. Then fill the remaining 2 columns of crafting slots with regular roasted coffee beans. Great, now you've got a triple shot espresso and you've "finished" the mod.

There's also a BukStars ruined structure you can find (the chinese starbucks minecraft bootleg) that will have some pre-dehidrated coffee beans and some coffee cherries for you. They are usually few and far between, but they could be your only option if you've passed your 3 cherries breaking grass and killing monsters limit and somehow got rid of them all (possibly if you forgot to save some when planting or just died).

--END OF MANUAL--

I hope you enjoy the mod, and become a coffee producing expert! Just remember this mod takes time and isn't fast paced (except for when you get that sweet caffeine boost) and definitely not for everyone.

Do not port to bedrock or reupload the mod with different assets (textures, logos, sounds, etc) on curseforge or modrinth without my permission
