cobblemonbattleplus-fabric-3.0.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
3.0.0
Added
- Added the creative-only Trainer NPC Placement & Editor Wand. It can place an unconfigured Trainer NPC and edit an existing Trainer NPC through a server-authoritative in-game editor.
- Added per-NPC AI profiles: the existing RCTAPI AI, Cobblemon Standard AI, Tactical AI, and Story Leader AI. Native Cobblemon AI is opt-in per NPC, with configurable skill levels from 0 to 5 where applicable.
- Added Tactical AI corrections for ineffective attacks, repeated or unsuitable status moves, defensive loops, recovery decisions, switching behaviour, and supported battle mechanics. Story Leader AI uses the correction layer while preventing voluntary switches and using a fixed replacement order.
- Added AI probe commands and optional AI debug messages for comparing RCTAPI, Cobblemon Standard, Tactical AI, and Story Leader AI safely.
- Added an optional pre-battle confirmation dialogue and data-pack-defined battle-start presentations. Intro definitions support
modern_split,classic_burst, andcinematic_diagonallayouts, timing, fades, and configurable colours. - Added individual Trainer NPC editor controls for party selection, AI profile and skill, Tactical AI gimmicks, battle-start presentation, dialogue, rematch behaviour, challenge requirements, post-battle handling, result commands, display name, and skin.
- Added per-NPC visible display-name editing, including Minecraft text colour, bold styling, and an in-editor preview.
- Added per-NPC
texture_pathediting. It supports enabled resource-pack PNG identifiers and official Mojang texture keys ortextures.minecraft.netURLs, which clients cache locally. - Added
one_battle_per_player, allowed party-type requirements, and minimum/maximum party-level requirements for Trainer NPC presets and editor-configured NPCs. - Added the
PLAYER_MAX_PLUSandPLAYER_LEVEL_CAPTrainer NPC level modes. - Added Trainer NPC command permission nodes for Fabric and NeoForge, with a Japanese setup guide at
docs/PERMISSIONS_ja.md. - Added a Trainer NPC resource-pack example containing the default Alex skin, plus updated datapack examples for resource-pack skins, online Mojang textures, intros, and new encounter settings.
Changed
- Battle Factory and Battle Tower opponents now use the Tactical AI correction layer at skill 5 with strategic switching, while retaining their existing RCTAPI battle orchestration.
- Trainer NPCs can now keep entity-specific battle, encounter, dialogue, intro, display-name, and skin overrides without modifying their source preset.
- Trainer NPC battle setup now gives clearer feedback when the player is too far away, already in battle, has no usable party, does not meet party requirements, or the NPC is unavailable.
- Trainer NPC temporary-level battles now have explicit post-battle choices to apply the battle result, restore the pre-battle party, or fully heal it.
Fixed
- Fixed client-side party state becoming stale after Trainer NPC battle results are applied.
- Fixed temporary party changes for fixed-level and player-level-cap battles by snapshotting and restoring the real party after battle or a failed battle start.
Compatibility
- Cobblemon Battle Plus 3.0.0 continues to require Cobblemon 1.8.x and Radical Cobblemon Trainers API (RCTAPI) 0.16.x. The normal
/trainernpc spawnpath remains RCTAPI-based by default; native AI is an explicit per-NPC or AI-probe choice. - Existing Trainer NPC presets remain supported. The new preset fields are optional and retain their previous behaviour when omitted.
- Tactical AI gimmicks (Mega Evolution, Z-Power, Dynamax, and Terastallization) are available only when Mega Showdown is installed and the corresponding mechanic can be used.
- On Fabric, permission-node assignment requires a compatible permissions manager such as LuckPerms. Without one, Trainer NPC management falls back to operator level 2.
