Cobblemon Rental

Rent Pokémon, earn CobbleDollars, and bring a new player-driven economy to your Cobblemon server!

Cobblemon Rental is a server-side Fabric addon that allows players to rent their Pokémon to other players in exchange for CobbleDollars.

Whether you want to earn extra money by lending your strongest Pokémon or temporarily borrow a Pokémon for breeding, battles, or exploration, Cobblemon Rental provides a simple and interactive rental marketplace.

Everything is managed through intuitive in-game menus, without requiring players to install the addon on their clients.

🛒 Player-Driven Pokémon Marketplace

• List Pokémon from your party for other players to rent.

• Set your own rental prices using CobbleDollars.

• Choose how long your Pokémon will be available to the renter.

• Browse available Pokémon through an interactive marketplace.

• View Pokémon models directly in the inventory GUI.

• Hover over listings to inspect important Pokémon information:

🔒 Original Pokémon Protection

Your original Pokémon is never directly transferred to another player.

When you list a Pokémon, its original data is safely stored on the server. The renter receives a separate temporary copy instead.

• The original Pokémon is preserved independently of the rental.

• Changes made to the temporary Pokémon do not affect the original.

• The original Pokémon's held items remain protected.

• Temporary copies are created without the owner's equipped items.

• Rental Pokémon are tracked using unique identifiers.

• Expired rental copies are automatically processed for removal.

Once the rental period ends, the original owner can reclaim their Pokémon through the rental management menu.

🎒 Renter Item Recovery

Accidentally left an item on a rented Pokémon?

Cobblemon Rental includes an item recovery system designed to preserve items equipped by renters when their rental expires.

For example, if you rent a Ditto and equip a Destiny Knot or Everstone, you can retrieve that item after the rental ends.

• Recover eligible held items from expired rentals.

• Supports regular held items and cosmetic items.

• Access pending items through a dedicated recovery menu.

• Recover your items even after reconnecting to the server.

• Persistent server-side recovery records help prevent duplicate claims.

💰 Earn CobbleDollars

Turn your Pokémon collection into another way to participate in your server's economy!

• Earn CobbleDollars whenever another player rents your Pokémon.

• Claim your rental earnings through the management menu.

• Track active rentals and remaining rental time.

• Manage your listed Pokémon in one place.

• Cancel available listings that have not been rented.

• Reclaim your original Pokémon when the rental ends.

• Completed listings disappear from the player menu after all rewards and Pokémon have been claimed.

⚙️ Fully Configurable Rental Limits

Server administrators can customize rental prices and durations.

Default settings:

• Maximum rental price: $100,000,000

• Minimum rental duration: 2 hours

• Maximum rental duration: 24 hours

Want to allow shorter or longer rentals? You can change the limits to allow anything from a single minute to several days, months, or even a year.

Recommendation: Rental durations longer than 24 hours are not recommended, as players may accidentally lock their Pokémon for extended periods.

Configuration changes require a server restart and apply to newly created listings.

🖥️ Server-Side Only

Players do not need to install Cobblemon Rental on their clients!

The addon uses Minecraft's built-in inventory interface, making it easy to use on existing Cobblemon servers.

The menus include server-side interaction restrictions designed to prevent players from taking or duplicating display items.

Install the mod in your server's mods folder alongside its dependencies.

🛡️ Data Persistence & Safety

Rental information, original Pokémon data, and recoverable items are stored persistently on the server.

The addon includes safeguards for expired rentals, reconnections, and server restarts.

Because other mods may introduce additional methods of transferring or storing Pokémon, compatibility with third-party trading, storage, and pasture systems may vary. Server administrators should keep regular backups and test compatibility with their modpacks.
