What's new

A settings screen, every setting from chat, and a den clock that counts down to the next raid.

Added

  • The settings have a screen. With Cloth Config installed, Cobblemon Raid Icons gets a config button in Mod Menu on Fabric and in the mod list on NeoForge. It covers the active-only toggle, the lowest star tier, one switch per tera type, and the scan range. A change shows on the map as soon as you save, with no restart. Without Cloth Config the button is simply not there and the settings file works as before.

  • Icons can be resized, separately on each map. The minimap and the world map each have their own icon size, from half to twice the default, so you can shrink a crowded minimap without making the world map harder to read.

  • /raidicons opens the settings screen. The filters and icon sizes are one command away in any world, on Fabric and NeoForge alike, with no trip back to the mod list. Without Cloth Config it says so and points to /raidicons config, which changes every setting from chat.

  • A key opens the same screen. Controls has a Cobblemon Raid Icons heading with an "Open settings" key. It starts unbound, so it never collides with Xaero's keys; bind it once and it opens the screen from anywhere in game.

  • /raidicons config changes any setting in game. On its own it lists every setting with its current value. Add a setting's name to see its range and default, add a value to change it, or use reset to restore one setting or all of them. The change is saved and shows on the map straight away, with no restart and no Cloth Config needed. It works the same on Fabric and NeoForge.

  • The tera filter can be edited one type at a time. Besides giving the whole list at once, you can add or remove a single type from the filter, and the command suggests the type names as you type.

  • A den's tooltip explains its life cycle. Below the clock, an open den says that every reset rolls a new raid in its place, and a beaten den says it comes back with a new raid at the next reset, and that "Only active dens" hides dens like it.

  • A featured den says why the tera filter skips it. Hovering a Dynamax, Gigantamax or Mega den says it is a featured raid, shown by its feature rather than a tera type, so the tera type filter never hides it.

Changed

  • The report moved to /raidicons report. It prints the same lines as before, from the new word, now that bare /raidicons opens the screen.

  • The store page closes with its links. The description used to end on a bare web address. It now ends with a links block: the wiki, the Discord to report a bug on, a way to sponsor the mod, and the licence with a link to its full terms.

Fixed

  • The den clock times the reset, not the players. On a server, the estimated clock used to time how long players took to beat a den and call that its window, so a den nobody beat never got a countdown, and the number had nothing to do with the den's timer. It now times how often a den rolls a new raid, which is the only timer a den runs.

  • An open den says when its next raid comes. When a den's timer runs out it does not close: it rolls a new raid in the same spot. The tooltip now reads New raid in for an open den and keeps Back in for one that has been beaten, both counting down to that same moment.

  • A featured den's tooltip shows its clock. Hovering a Dynamax, Gigantamax or Mega den now shows the same New raid in / Back in line as any other den, right under the feature.

  • A den you walk away from stays on the map. An open den used to vanish from the map once its estimated window ran out, even though the crystal was still there, usually with a new raid. A den whose timer runs out rolls a new raid in the same spot, so it now stays drawn as it was last seen until you come back. A den only leaves the map when its crystal is gone.

  • Every marker on the map is drawn at the same size. The Stellar icon used to be about three quarters the size of the other tera types and sat off-centre, and the Dynamax, Gigantamax and Mega icons were noticeably larger than any tera icon beside them. All of them now fill the same space, so a Stellar den next to a Fire den, or a Mega den next to either, reads as an equal marker.

  • The store description no longer promises a tera icon on every den. It now says what the map draws: the tera type on an ordinary den, and the feature itself on a Dynamax, Gigantamax, Eternamax or Mega den.
