Cobblemon Mid-Battle EXP 1.0.0 (Fabric)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
The first release.
Added
- Experience and EVs at every knockout instead of when the battle ends. Every Pokémon that faced the fainted opponent gets its full share, and one holding an Exp. Share gets Cobblemon's Exp. Share portion; Lucky Egg and every other experience bonus still apply.
- A knockout pays once: the end of the battle pays nothing more for an opponent already paid
out. Experience from a knockout is kept even if the battle is lost afterwards, and a fainted
Pokémon earns nothing unless Cobblemon's
awardExperienceToFaintedPokemonis on. - A level or EVs gained at a knockout count for the rest of that battle: the new level shows on the battle bar and the switch screen, the next move is calculated with the new stats, and stat stages are kept. Maximum HP gained is added to current HP as well (30/60 becomes 34/64); a fainted Pokémon stays fainted. A Pokémon on the bench that leveled through Exp. Share switches in with its new stats, and a transformed Pokémon keeps the stats it copied.
- A move unlocked mid-battle is usable in that same battle. With a free slot it is learned at once, with full PP.
- A move screen for a Pokémon that already knows four moves: drag a new move onto a moveset slot to learn it, or into To Move Pool to skip it. Every change can be undone until Done. The header names the Pokémon with its nickname, gender and level, and each card shows the move's type, category, power, accuracy, effect chances, PP and PP Ups, with its description on hover.
- Two moves unlocked at once share one screen; two Pokémon get one screen each, in party order. A forgotten move goes to the move pool and keeps its PP Ups. Minimising the battle hides the screen and it comes back as it was left; no screen opens when the knockout ends the battle.
- The battle log tells the owner everything the mod changes: the EXP gained, the level reached, the stats that rose, a move learned into a free slot, a move it wants to learn, the move it forgot for a new one, and a move it did not learn. The opponent sees only the new level and HP bar.
- One jar runs on Cobblemon 1.7 and 1.8, on Fabric and NeoForge alike.
- A wiki section with a How it works page covering every rule above.
- The mod has its own icon in the mod list.
