Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Coasters: Immersion 0.2.3 — Beta
A polish update focused on the settings menu and visual stability during coaster rides.
Settings Menu
- Redesigned the settings screen with a warm, Create-inspired industrial style: dark panels, copper accents, and clearer contrast.
- Reorganized settings into dedicated tabs: Camera, Speed, Rider, Audio, HUD, Performance, and Advanced.
- Added consistent pixel-art icons, unified toggles, and more readable sliders.
- Fixed spacing, alignment, header borders, GUI-scale behavior, and keyboard/controller navigation order.
- Adjusted tab icon sizing and placement so icons no longer overlap their labels.
- Fixed the “Recommended” preset value overlapping its visual indicator.
- Fixed the Coasters: Immersion button: it now opens the correct settings screen from both the title screen and pause menu.
- Settings now apply immediately when changed.
Performance & Stability
- Reduced temporary allocations in force, head, and stabilization calculations for more consistent frame times.
- Optimized visibility and sub-level rendering updates to prevent repeated work every frame.
- Standardized interpolated render timing for visual effects, avoiding small hitches caused by mixing timing sources.
- Refined camera and telemetry paths to reduce visual spikes and false impact feedback during rides.
- Improved compatibility safeguards for the addon's Iris/Sodium rendering paths.
Recommended Profile
- Applied more conservative limits to physics render distance and auxiliary visual updates in the test profile, targeting steadier frame times during coaster rides.
