i don't know how this thing works.. i put the repeating command block and use that for a test. but the command dosen't last when i move away like 200 blocks. i put the distance for 6. how do i use this thing?
This mod causes some bugs with Botania. Chunkloaded chunks become mana burst no go zones. I tried to chunk load my mana generation setup and it completely glitched it out.
You may want to try adding a feature for multiple loaded chunks from one block that can be set from an interface, like Extra Utilities.
I built a large base with about 10 NuclearCraft reactors (mostly for fuel breeding), and one large ExtremeReactors reactor, with the express intention of one day LEAVING this base, for a different FAR AWAY location, and a NEW base, free of the "lag" produced by my other base and all its machinery. I had chunk-loaded the places that required it, knowing that I would in the end REMOVE those chunk loaders once I left this base (when the original base was no longer required). So, in short, I no longer needed to have ANY chunks from that ORIGINAL BASE loaded at all.
At first, I was simply going to remove those chunk loaders from wherever I had placed them, but then I though, well, why not just REMOVE the mod from the mods folder; this SHOULD (I assumed) remove those chunk loaders as well, and all in one go!
Or so I thought. Yes, I no longer have the chunk-loaders mod in the mods folder, so NO chunk loaders should be present in my world at this time, right? So, why are my original bases "chunks" still loaded now? I know they are, because I can still access storage at the original base, even though I am currently some 8 to 10 THOUSAND blocks away from there! I am able to receive items from storage crates AT THAT BASE (those items simply are NOT present at my new base!), and this is confusing the heck out of me!
How am I supposed to insure that NONE of my original base "chunks" are still being loaded into memory, even after I have removed all original "chunk loading"?
And, before you ask, YES - I have of course RE-STARTED Minecraft, while at my new base location. None of my original base should be loaded AT ALL, but it most certainly IS being "loaded", just as if it were still being "chunk-loaded" by the mod!
I hope someone might be able to "clue me in" on what the heck is happening, as I am currently completely and utterly confused! This is NOT what I wanted; now I have some REALLY SEVERE "lag" issues, and I have no idea how I am going to resolve them (the old base lag, coupled with any lag produced at my new base location...)!
it probably has to do with how the mod loaded chunks, telling the game to keep them loaded instead of loading them itself probably, since you removed the mod, it could not tell it to unload the chunks, so they are staying loaded.
I suggest reinstalling the mod, placing the chunkloaders back, then removing them, and then uninstalling the mod again.
I recently learned that apparently the game ALWAYS loads a large area around your original spawnpoint (as long as you're in the overworld, I guess). This means that if you put complex machines there, regardless of chunkloaders they will be loaded at all times. I suggest you to test what doubleAiden suggested first, if that doesn't work you'll have to remove all the lag-inducing machines around your original spawnpoint.
if you put back ON the mod, you most likely will be able to BREAK the chunk loaders, there for STOPPING the chunkloading, and LEARNING HOW TO USE BOLD.
You can change and add recipies using the mod "MineTweakerRecipeMaker" (requires CraftTweaker). Once you created your crafting, restart Minecraft and the new recipe will be available. If then you don't plan on adding new recipes, you can even remove MineTweakerRecipeMaker and the recipes will still work.
what exactly is the name of the configuration file for this mod? i'm in my configs folder and i see nothing named "chunkloader.cfg" so i haven't the slightest clue what the cfg file for this mod is named if not that'
Hello, works great, but one small bug, in 1.12 the chunk loaders don't automatically load themselves up on server boot, you first have to load them by going to the location they exist in, and only then will the chunks stay loaded, please advise when we might expect a fix for this bug, thanks a lot, great mod you're making here!
Hello, not sure if you'll get this. but it was updated recently so yeah.
Possible Bug: Crops wont work when I am far away. I play on Single Player survival, but do use creative at times through LAN-Allow Cheats- etc.
I edited the config to load only 1x1 chunks and then placed about 50-60 chunk loader blocks at bedrock level. And the Chunks they are in do not continue growing crops (potatoes, carrots, wheat, beets) while my character is far away.
Glowstone was near crops, and time was set to day all the time.
Can this be fixed in configs or something? or does it not support crops? (in which case whats the point?)

Please, update this to 1.14.4
I suggest to change the craft and texture of block or just give to players opportunity edit craft of block.

1.12.2 pls
Is this movable? I would love to slap one of these on my tunnel bore.
Edit: It moves along with the tunnel bore, but doesn't seem to work, the tunnel bore still cuts itself in half upon reaching render distance.
