Task Display Fix

  • For ongoing quests, the title, description and objectives are displayed according to the ‘current stage’; the prologue introduction is no longer displayed repeatedly.
  • Where the description for the current stage is empty, it remains empty; the opening description of the entire quest is no longer used to fill the gap.
  • Long objective text automatically wraps to prevent key parts from being truncated; numerical progress is displayed separately.
  • The player interface no longer displays internal information such as the original stage ID or objective type.
  • As the quest progresses, the page displaying the current node is updated accordingly; manually viewed historical nodes are retained.

Changes to compatibility

  • The network protocol has been changed from 11 to 12; clients and servers must use matching versions.
  • requestJournal() is now used for read-only refreshes; third-party modules that need to actively open the interface should use the newly added requestJournalOpen() instead.
  • The new isJournalSnapshotDelivery() function has been added to enable embedded task interfaces to recognise background refreshes.
  • The JournalQuest.description for active tasks no longer includes the general description; the current description is now placed in phaseDescription. Any interdependencies relying on the meaning of the old field must be checked.
  • Task package authors should fill in the description for each phase; empty phase descriptions will no longer fall back to the general description.
