Chocobos Reborn 1.0.15 - Long bloodlines

Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.249, Java 21, client and server. A dash that runs dry has to recover, and a perfect bird is a long line.

Install this jar on the server and on every rider. The dash key, the lock, and the born stats are read on both sides. A guest still on 1.0.14 keeps treating forward as sprint, so their dash will not follow the key.

Stamina

• An empty bar has to climb. Once a dash spends the last point, dash stays off until stamina is back to 50. Holding the key does not nibble the recovering bar. While it climbs you ride at a normal pace. The slow crawl is only while the bar is empty. The race line says when the dash is waiting on 50. Field racers follow the same lock.
• The dash follows the sprint key. Holding forward alone no longer keeps the bar empty. Let go of sprint and it climbs, even if you keep riding.

Intelligence

• A smart bird spends stamina more slowly. On every other tick it may keep the point. At 100 intelligence half of the drain is free. At 0 nothing is skipped.
• Boost pads listen to the same stat. With no intelligence they are still +55% for 50 ticks. At 100 intelligence they are +75% for 70 ticks. Field racers use the same pads.

Breeding

• The almanac shows what is born and what you fed. Bright is the bloodline. Pale is greens. Greens still make this bird fast. About a tenth of what you feed sticks in the next foal.
• The line climbs over many clutches. Feed a blank bird full and it offers 10. Breed that blood down the middle and feed each chick full: eight generations still offer 59, and twenty reach 85. Most chicks land a little under the blood, so you breed the pair again.
• A legendary stat is rare. One chick in eight sparks one stat toward the stronger parent and gains 5. A born stat above 96 takes that spark, and only when both parents already offer 85 or more in that stat. A nut or a lucky roll on a lower line stops at 96.
• Nuts are a small gift. The nut's tier is added to speed and stamina, and half of that, rounded down, to mind and cooperation. Pepio is +1. Zeio is +8 and +4. A Wonderful grade floor is 8.
• Birds you already own keep their training. Born stats they never had read as none, so they still race on their greens. The next foal inherits about a tenth of those greens. Colour breeding, wins, and grades are unchanged.
