Chest Logbook is made for peaceful survival servers. It shows who took things from a chest, and nobody can break someone else's chest without leaving evidence behind.
A logbook next to every container
Open a chest, barrel, shulker box, furnace, hopper or modded storage block and a written-book-style logbook appears beside it. It shows who took (red) or added (green) which items, how many, and when. Hover over a line to see the exact date and time. The book updates live and turns pages like a real book.
Evidence signs
If someone breaks, blows up (with TNT they lit) or picks up (Carry On) a container that another player placed, an evidence sign appears where it stood: Broken by: Name / date / Chest. Right-click the sign to read an evidence book with the owner, date, time, coordinates, everything that was inside and the container's log from before.
Only a player in creative mode can remove the sign. It can't be mined, blown up, pushed, burned or washed away. If another mod removes it, it comes back. The owner gets a chat message.
More
- Hopper theft: a hopper one player puts under another player's chest is logged as "Name (hopper)".
- For admins:
/chestlog who <player>lists everything a player took or added, with click-to-teleport coordinates. Every change is also written tologs/chestlogbook/<date>.log. - Works with modded storage, including Sophisticated Storage and Backpacks, Storage Drawers, Farmer's Delight, Supplementaries, AE2 and Create storage. Supports Server-side Vein Miner and Building Wands.
- English and Swedish.
Rules (configurable)
- The player who places a container owns it. Owners can break their own containers without a sign.
- Players in creative mode never create signs.
- Loot chests generated with the world, and containers that existed before the mod was installed, don't get signs.
Config: serverconfig/chestlogbook-server.toml (per world).
Required on both the server and the clients.
