This Mod adds Chess into Minecraft! Play against the Computer in singleplayer or challenge your friends on a server! Simply craft a board and some chess pieces and start playing.
There is an intricate GUI with many options and configurations for your games.
DISCLAIMER: This mod is still in development and most standard chess rules are enforced, however, since this mod is still in development some draw rules like the 50 move rule and threefold repetition are not currently in the game. There is an offer draw button for multiplayer games though. There has also not been any testing on dedicated servers with the compiled mod.
Also, I have not had that much time to find bugs so you should expect to encounter some bugs, especially in multiplayer. If you find a bug please report it to me! I will do my best to fix it. Simply send me a message or leave a comment and make sure to provide as much information as possible like:

- singleplayer or multiplayer?

will this mod be ported to other versions like 1.12?
It is very unlikely that I will port this to anything older than 1.14 in the future since I would have to rewrite the mod entirely. If interest is high, I could see myself updating it to 1.16 though
will I add more chess variants and other games?
I might. It all depends on how interested people are in this Project.
Can I put this mod into a modpack?
Yes, this mod is made for multiplayer and should be compatible with most other mods. I would recommend waiting for the full release as the current version will contain bugs, might cause a crash or allow duping of chess pieces.
