Check Engine 0.13.1 (NeoForge 1.21.1)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Check Engine 0.13.1: the big one. It now helps after the pack works, not only when it breaks.
For players:
- Silent crashes explained: when the game closes with no crash report, Crash Doctor still names the cause (graphics driver, overlay, Java, or a mod).
- The real culprit: when a crash blames a mod that only tripped over another one, Crash Doctor names the mod that failed first.
- Undo new mods: one button switches off the mods added since the pack last worked. Put them back any time.
- Undo config changes: puts back the configs from the last launch that worked.
- Strip Mine for configs: when no mod changed but several configs did, it finds the bad config file.
- Rescue world: a broken mob or machine that crashes your world every time gets removed for one session, after a backup.
- Safe Remove: before a world opens without a mod it still uses, you see what disappears, with a one-click backup.
- "The pack was updated": one screen lists what's new, updated and removed.
- Warnings for a mod that went back to an older version, and for two mods doing the same job (two minimaps, two recipe viewers...).
- Clearer crash messages, like "Dragon egg (iceandfire) keeps crashing the world".
- Every screen in the new look. Nothing is ever deleted: mods are renamed to .disabled.
For pack makers:
- Pack journal: every launch that works writes down what changed.
- Update notes: a ready-to-paste changelog since your last release.
- Log check: mods that flood the log, config typos, missing textures.
- Duplicate materials: the same ingot or ore from several mods.
- Export check: catches your own files (settings, worlds, logs) before you upload an export.
- Quiet mode: hide warnings your players don't need.
- "Works with Check Engine" badge and a 2-minute setup guide.
Fixes: no false "missing mod" errors on NeoForge 26.1 packs (ATM11), early loading screens no longer show as "not a mod", and Check Engine never crashes your game, even when something unexpected happens.
