A hostile Sulfur Cube variant that destroys any block it touches — walls, ceilings, and floors — with boosted jump height and speed.

Sulfuric Cube

This mod transforms the vanilla Sulfur Cube into a far more aggressive and destructive threat, capable of disintegrating the environment around it.

Key features:

  • Contact-based disintegration: the Sulfur Cube now instantly destroys any solid block it touches while moving — not just the block it lands on, but also side walls and blocks above it. The only block it respects is the one directly beneath its feet, so it can keep a stable footing.
  • Boosted jump strength: its jump height has been significantly increased compared to the vanilla mob, letting it reach much higher and cover more ground with each leap.
  • Increased movement speed: it moves faster than a normal Sulfur Cube, making it harder to dodge or corner.
  • Fall damage immunity: thanks to its enhanced jump strength, it no longer takes fall damage, allowing it to jump freely without self-destructing.
  • Respects unbreakable blocks: Bedrock and other world-protection blocks remain untouched, so the mob can't break through the core structure of the map.

How it changes gameplay:

Instead of a passive enemy that just bounces around and attacks on contact, the Sulfur Cube becomes an active threat to your surroundings. Players can watch one of these cubes tear through a base's walls, a nearby structure's roof, or the terrain around a build in seconds — forcing a quick reaction to contain or eliminate it before it causes serious structural damage. It's a great fit for players looking for a more intense survival challenge, horde-style maps where the environment itself becomes a threat, or anyone who wants a stronger reason to never ignore a loose Sulfur Cube again.

This mod adds no new blocks or items — it directly modifies the vanilla mob's behavior, making it compatible with existing worlds with no new content generation required.

Side note: this mod's effects only require the mod to be installed on the server (or in your mods folder for singleplayer, since singleplayer runs an internal server). Players connecting to a server with this mod installed do NOT need to install it on their own client to see and experience its effects.
