Chat Tags

Find Name Color and Affix tags while playing, then claim them to change how your name looks in chat, the tab list, and above your head.

What you get

• Name colors - claim a color tag to tint your display name
• Affixes - claim a prefix or suffix that sits around your name
• Nicknames - set your own nick with /chattags nick
• Everywhere it matters - chat, tab list, and nametag (no scoreboard team hacks)
• Drops and loot - rare finds from hostiles, plus optional chest loot
• Mystery tags - unidentified stacks reveal a random color or affix on use, then claim on a second use

Config

Almost everything lives under config/chattags/ as JSON:

• Drop and chest chances
• Color and affix lists
• Chat / tab / nametag toggles
• Nick rules
• Permission levels for commands

Reload with /chattags reload without restarting the server.

Commands

/chattags covers nick, clear, set, give, and reload, with tab completion for colors, affixes, and players.

Optional mods

• FTB Ranks - keeps rank chat prefix and suffix around your cosmetics
• FTB Essentials - optional nick sync modes so pack /nick commands can still work

Neither is required.
