What is Chaos Eclipse?

My Players' Characters, from my RPG Campaign, are DEAD and you must find their Lost Weapons, to know the truth about their Deaths and tell their history for the next generations, while a force from another Dimension, called the Unknown, is appearing out of nowhere.

Now what remains is an Eclipse that changes everything (TBD) and Creatures from the Unknown that are really Chaotic (TBD).

Some things should never have left where they came from.

This Project is focused on adding tons of New Weapons and Tools, Some Blocks, More End-Game Stuff and Exploration. It's based on my own RPG, which i'm DMing for my friends, all the Features from it are References and Things that exist in the world i created, which are:

Key Features

30 New Weapons/Tools/Magic Items with their own abilities and effects;
- They can only be found, and have a chance of appearing on chests in structures from the game, making it a journey to find Rare and Powerful Lost Weapons.
A New Complete Wood Set and a Tree;
- It grows in the Forest Biome.
A New Fish and 2 ways it can be prepared;
4 "RP Items";
A New Bean Crop that can be Cooked into an Explosive New Food
A New Kind of Apple with its own "Variant";

Trigger Warning

This Mod contains some Horror Elements, descriptions of many kinds of Deaths, Mobs may Drop Body Parts like Ears, Eyes, Teeth and Horns and it has a depiction of the Butcher Villager selling and buying those said Parts. It may not be suitable for everyone.

I don't know exactly, modding is kinda new to me, and i'm not very good with coding, if somebody is willing to help, i might! But other than that, probably i'll only update it to future versions, but don't count on it.

Does it Work on Quilt?

I don't know right now, but a while ago i played with it on a Quilt server and it worked just fine! The code didn't change much, so you probably won't have problems with it.

Maybe… i mostly do stuff related to the RPGs and the lore itself, so if you got an idea lore-related, feel free to reach me!

When you will Add X Missing Feature/Block?

I have no idea! Pretty much depends if i have the time, disposition and depending on the difficulty of the task, i maybe won't add it to be honest (i'm looking at you Eclipse, i'll try, but no promises).

Right now i'll be focusing in adding some more weapons, from the main RPG and from others me and my friends played, i'll try to add functionallity to the Newspaper, Arcanumrails Tickets and… erm.. the Eclipse, i'm thinking about tools made of Unknown's Essence, Adding some pieces of armor, More Paintings, Some Lore Dungeons/Structures, And if i'm able i'm thinking about some Mobs, a Boss and a Dimension, but keep in mind that all of this is not set in stone and doesn't mean i'll 100% add them.

I'm having some Problems with X, are there any Known Issues?

There are some stuff that no matter how i tried to solve or change them, my short java knowledge wouldn't help me with them, even with tutorials, trying to take a look at other repos, so these are the ones that i know that for now i'll have to keep them this way:

The Eden Tree is kinda Weird. I tried my best to understand how the trunk placers and foliage placers worked, but i couldn't understand any of it, so the Trees don't look like i really wanted them to look, and they're a little bit weird in shape, this is the best i could do for now, but i'll try to take more looks at it;

Zora's Bow and Pallis' Shield have their Visuals Glitched if looked by another person in Multiplayer? For the person using them, their models will always be correct, since they're done with mixins, because of their changes of states, like visually blocking or pulling the bow and putting an arrow on it, i couldn't get it to work for other people to see it;

The Bean doesn't Spawn naturally. I don't know exactly how to make it spawn in villages, like a crop would spawn, but you can still buy it from the Farmer Villager;

Belaios' Wand doesn't Teleport the Player Correctly sometimes. I tried my best on fixing it, the code of it is like a mess, its like a miracle this is kinda working, most of the time it will teleport you correctly, since it works on the direction you are facing, but sometimes it won't depending on the direction you are looking, a little bit to the ground, for example, and it might consider a place that "doesn't have any empty space to teleport", even tho you are facing a place that has plenty of space to teleport. And for some reason, if you try to teleport from like a really TALL pillar, that isn't supposed to have space to teleport, it will teleport you to the ground in the direction you are facing, for some reason.

Context 📜

Here i'll be giving some context of the world and its characters, since the lore itself is in the items, and most of it is from the RPG i'm DMing for my friends. It's D&D, but i made the entire world and lore.

The History

Chaos Eclipse history starts many cicles ago, it's about beings that aren't born, alive or die, they are the concept of existing itself, they are called Giants, for lack of a correct translation, since they could be gods waiting for ascension. These beings were filled with fury, by the glory of fighting. In the world they once lived, they used its resources, every action they did was absorving energy from the world, since they don't live it's the thing they need to keep going, and the result of it was the discharge of a type of energy called Unknown, and it was exuded from them every single second, with it, any type of life that tried to grow that wasn't them, was just faded to die.

It's said that their fights shaped the shapes of the world's continents.

One day, they absorved so much energy from the world, that they couldn't keep this fighting and existing going, with that one of them emerged from the world, The First Kin. He was the first of it's kind, he wasn't like the others, he could do what the couldn't, and he wanted to live, die, grow, so he walked, he shaped things, while the others were tired, and his energy was able to create what we call Arcane Magic.

The others weren't able to absorve this new energy, and now it exhaled all over the world, they were on the verge of nothing what was like to not exist anymore, so they put the fight appart, and they all used their last breaths to create a dimension they could exist, one that was only Unknown, and they made very clear, they were going after their world again someday, they wouldn't stop after one of them betrayed them all.

From now on, the creatures from the Unknown would try everything they could, even trying to absorb arcane magic, so the dimension "invades" the regular world. These creatures would try to get the souls of the newborn mundane beings, mainly making them accepting contracts, with a soul as a payment, they would be able to temporarily be in the regular world again by using it to be able to absorb arcane magic.

And The First Kin created the first form of life, Eden, without any pourpose, and completely alone, a being from the Unknown and the Arcane Magic, he gave his life to try to make others like him. His soul possessed a tree, and from there more life was able to grow, every single creature from the regular world would be from the Arcane Magic, with a little bit of Unknown.

Items & Characters

Some of the items from the Mod have their own lores, in this Mod i added a little bit of spice with its lore being that All the Players' Characters are Dead, and their items show their possible deaths, with more than one possible death in mind.

Most of them reference moments in the RPG.

General

The common things from the RPG.

Announcer's Radio;

This is the head of one of the beings from the Unknown. The idea about him is the False Propaganda. In the RPG he made a deal with a Player, and now is in possess of a contract worth of this Player's soul, if the Player breaks the contract, he loses his soul, and the Announcer is able to enter the regular world again.

Contract;

This is the Contract Veigar made with the Annoucer, for now its just for RP.

Samara Plushie;

This is a little Plushie from the mascot of the Party, they don't know exactly what she is, but they love her anyway.

Eden's Apple;

The Fruit that represents the soul of Eden, has Unknown and Arcane Magic in its composition, its extremely chaotic, having everything from both worlds in it.

Eden Tree's Apple;

The Fruit that represents the heart of Eden, has mostly Arcane Magic in its composition, its the best and most delicious fruit ever, with the best benefits from a legendary fruit.

The Four Primordials;

The Human's Tooth, Goblin's Eye, Devil's Horn and Elf's Ear are drops scattered all across the world, they represent the first species to exist after Eden ceased, and since they were the next ones, their souls have a lot of power to do many stuff.

Tilapia;

Its a joke amongst the campaign, after one of the players tried to go into every single tavern he could to ask for tilapias, so i added them because of it.

Unknown's Essence;

It's the residuals from the Giants trying to pass to the regular world, after they try, they leave behind a piece of ther dimension, that is extremely volatile and chaotic. It can do anything pratically, and thinking of that i added it thinking about a more "end-game" approach, since you need to get netherite to get it.

Arcanumrails Tickets;

They're mostly for RP, but for context, the player of Belaios Boníssimo has a train company, they're made and traverse with magic, a really iconic way to go across the continents.

VOX Godwelling's Newspaper;

It's an iconic company that spread many fake news across all the Godwelling continent (the main one from the campaign), it's mostly for RP for now.

Catalyst Infuser;

In the RPG the Catalyst is a way to get closer to the Unknown without permanent damages, and the way to do it requires the Four Primordials, a Bottle made for the liquid and Unknown's Essence, and this Infuser is the safest way to concoct it.

Unknown's Symbol;

This symbol is more like the way the Unknown is written into "words", or at least our way to understand a shape to it. Doesn't do anything, and probably won't.

The Eclipse;

This represents a thing like a "blood moon", when it happens, the moon gets the shape of an eye, and the Unknown is able to traverse some of their shapes to the regular world. It's a TBD Item, i couldn't make it work, but its there for now. In the RPG, this Eclipse happens because one of the Giants got to the regular world and got the soul of a god, so now he has imense power, but likes to play a little with his food first.

D.E.L.S.;

This is a device made to find locations where the Unknown's activity is strong, it's made from pieces of it, and also can help seal any portals the Unknown might create.

Bromeliad Flower;

This is a Rare Flower, that can be found by Sniffers. In the Campaign its an important flower that an entire religion praises, the founder of the religion was lost, hopeless, when he found this unique flower, it's one of a kind, and almost extinct.

Lost Weapons

These are weapons lost across time and ways, their owners died in many forms in many timelines, and they carry their history.

Akira's Katana;

This one is a weapon from a boss of a "mafia-like" corporation, she has fire powers and is incredibly powerful. Since she is one of the bosses i created she didn't die, and could even be the cause of some deaths.

Qraz's Bean Sack;

This one is a weapon from a lizard character, a Druid of the Spores, its inspired in the item from D&D Bag of Beans, but in here its destruction-focused. In his history, he woke in a destruction, the ocean and the algae was consuming everything, it was the Unknown's work, and in this scenario, he was dragged along with all his stuff into the ocean.

Qraz's Staff;

This one is a staff, with lots of mushrooms and moss, it's his way of walking safely to places, and has it's own death scenario.

Belaios' Grimoire;

This one is a grimoire from a cat character, a Divination Wizard, its made inspired in the art i commissioned from @tarantulacage on Twitter, it was a gift for the players, and its a mix of his design and a player of mine design. He comes from a royal family, and in this scenario he couldn't return to them, after going to the main continent and encountering the dids of the Unknown.

Belaios' Wand;

This one is a wand, that Belaios uses to pass through walls, it's shop-bought and has it's own death scenario.

Raven's Quarterstaff;

This one is a quarterstaff from a tiefling character, a Way of the Open Hand Monk, its made inspired in the art i commissioned from @tarantulacage on Twitter, it was a gift for the players, and its a mix of his design and a player of mine design. She doesn't know where she came from, she only knows that she was helped by monks, so after many years, she wanted to rebuild the civilization she learnt she lost, but there was nobody there, neither she anymore.

Vex's Grimoire;

This one is a grimoire from a wooden doll character, a Wild Magic Sorcerer, its made inspired in the art i commissioned from @tarantulacage on Twitter, it was a gift for the players, and its a mix of his design and a player of mine design. He is the amalgamation of Unknown's built of soul and Arcane Magic, trying to live with this new body and with little to no memories of why he is like this, but in this scenario his soul was consumed by the Unknown, he used to much of it, and even without many senses, he could feel his pain again before dissapearing forever.

Veigar's Staff;

This one is a staff from a triton character, a College of the Whispers Bard, its made inspired in the art i commissioned from @tarantulacage on Twitter, it was a gift for the players, and its a mix of his design and a player of mine design. He is a church bard, he whispers to help the ones hurt, but in this scenario he lost his gills when he made a deal with the Announcer, and never gained them back, so he stayed in the last place he was, in the ocean.

Veigar's Sai and Frog Dikanza;

These are the other items from Veigar, his Bard instrument and a Sai, with more death scenarios, and involving the Announcer, but the catch here is that he never really remembers to use his items, so most of them have these jokes with them.

Juno's Catalyst;

This one is the Catalyst from a tiefling, a Paladin, she stole it from her order, a place that she called home one day, until she saw that she was mistreated there. In this scenario, Juno used too much of it, and then, even if it was temporary, her body couldn't handle the Unknown's destruction.

Juno's Gauntlet;

This is the other item from Juno, its inspired by the Gauntlets of the Ogre Power from D&D. It has his own death scenario, and she is always wearing it.

Jalin's Claws;

This one is the claws from a vampire, a Rogue, it's based on Lady Dimistrescu's Claws. As a vampire, she couldn't remember the life before being a vampire, it was like not being herself, and in this scenario, she dies after betraying her friends, it was like she wasn't like that before.

The Melodram's Items.

These are items that beings from the past used, Novus, Sylveria, Pallis and Norr' Forr', they were really powerful, but used a lot of the Unknown, they all kinda have the same types of history, where they all were outcasts and weren't accepted where they came from, that's why they created a group together, and its name "Melodram" is after a goddess that inspired hope and dreams in the past, that's all they wanted, but they dealed too much with the Unknown and released a monster in the regular world, again, that caused lots of deaths, and also their own.

Not From this World

These are weapons lost across time and ways, but their owners were not from this place, they come from other worlds with different timelines and histories. They're from other RPGs that me and my friends played, and those are the weapons that are from all our other characters.

Artorias' Despair;

This one is the weapon of a character named Artorias, a Blood Hunter, its Bloodborne inspired. His history comes from the source of its creation, i wanted to change characters in the RPG, so i killed my other character "Aron" in-game, he was possessing the Odin's Dagger, and said some things to Artorias that made him think a lot. His death marks the end of that campaign (didn't happen yet), at least how i think his death will be if it happens, because the party is trying to kill a god-dimension.

Artorias' Saw Eater;

This one is also an Artorias weapon, it was crafted after he decided to change everything in his life, throwing his beliefs behind. It has its own death scenario, and concludes the story of Aron and Artorias.

Asgore's Grimoire;

This one is the grimoire of a character named Asgore, a Divination Wizard. In the history, he was able to ascend to a new form, a godly form, but with a price, he would need to rule the reign of the last god he ascended from, so this is an imagination of if the ascension failed and his soul was lost in the process.

Ladon's Dragon Lance;

This one is the lance of a character named Ladon, an Artificer, with a dragon's tooth as the blade. In the history, he has a mission to kill Asgore if he goes out of his way as a god, in this scenario, he wasn't able to.

Odin's Dagger;

This one is the dagger of a character named Aron, a Rogue, with an eye in the handle. His history has many things going on, and its one of the only characters in this list that is actually dead, he was in the middle of his brother's schemes, and needed to escape, but Artorias was sent, by Aron's brother, to kill him.

Hilda's Sickle;

This one is the sickle of a character named Hilda Jahodový, a Monk, with a strip of fabric in its blade, to remember her best friend. Her history is tragic, where she lost everything she ever had in a fire, but after that she met Diego Velázquez, and joined a group that she felt comfortable with, but in this scenario, and enemy of this campaign, they were called glitchs, stroke her, and her existance was completely erased from everything.

Diego's Rapier;

This one is the rapier of a character named Diego Velázquez, a Rogue, with a strip of fabric in its blade, to remember his best friend. In his history, he lost everything he had, but found Hilda Jahodový, and they became best friends, but in this scenario, there was a goddess in the group they were worshiped, and Diego asked for help to her, when Hilda was grabbed by a glitch, but the goddess decided to take Diego's life instead.

Erak's Battleaxe;

This one is the battleaxe of a character named Erak, a Barbarian. In his history, he decided that he didn't want to live in the verge of war, so he ran away, but in this scenario, he got stranded in an island, that kept erasing his memory over and over again, until his death.

Zora's Bow;

This one is the bow of a character named Zora, a Fighter. In her history, she didn't have much, but trained with a person she considered family, then she went to discover the world, but got trapped in an endless tower, in this scenario, the lore of that RPG goes on, and it was a simulation, but she didn't wake up after it ended.

Helena's Baseball Bat;

This one is the baseball bat of a character named Helena Claus, a Human. In her history, she lost a dearly loved person, and she grieved a lot because of it, in this scenario one day she thought that was killing her enemies, but the blood in the room was hers.

Carson's Handcannon;

This one is the handcannon of a character named Carson, a Human Cowboy. His history is really short, it was mostly a one-shot, but it was happening an corruption of the world, and creatures were forming with the bodies of people from his city, so he, and his partner Johnny, the Sheriff, were preparing for the worst and were trying to get the city safe. In this scenario, his partner got turned into one of the creatures, and Carson had nowhere to go. Also, there is a joke about this character, because i never hit low-numbers in the dice roll with this character, and he even was able to use his wheelchair to do a grind to upstairs, in the Sheriff's HQ;

Chali II's Lance.

This one is the Chivalry Lance of a character named Chali II, a Drow. Her story is that she is Asgore's Sister, their family rule an entire dimension, and she killed Artorias, stomping with her horse on his head. But after a while, Artorias got resurrected and killed Chali, the same way she did.
