Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Chest DNA 1.02q, version coverage update
Twelve new Minecraft versions and two widened files. The mod is byte for byte the same idea it was at release: it records where every item came from and draws a pixel-art card under the tooltip. Nothing in this update changes behaviour, so there is no reason to update an install that already works.

The last two Fabric files in the 1.21 line replace the narrower ones from the first upload:
mc1.21.6-1.21.8-fabric takes over from mc1.21.8-fabric, and mc1.21-1.21.1-fabric from
mc1.21.1-fabric. Same mod inside, wider range.
What each version needed
The mod is the same on every version. Only the plumbing differs, because the APIs it hooks were rewritten between these releases.
- 1.21.11 is the version where Mojang shipped their own names, so this build sits between its
neighbours: the new class names, the older loot function and tooltip APIs.
ResourceLocationisIdentifierhere,ResourceKey.locationisidentifier,Screen.hasShiftDownmoved toMinecraft,GameProfilebecame a record, and command permissions became a permission set rather than an operator level. - 1.21.6 to 1.21.8 are one line and nothing the mod touches differs across them, so one file covers all three.
- 1.21.5 needed no code change at all from the 1.21.8 build.
- 1.21.2 to 1.21.4 still pass the level to
ItemStack.onCraftedBy, so the crafting hook takes it too. Everything else is the same code. - 1.21 and 1.21.1 are identical for everything the mod touches, so one Fabric file covers both.
- 1.20.4 is the first version past the move from Gson to codecs in loot serialisation, so the
stamping function carries a codec. The table is still named by a plain id rather than a registry
key, so it stays a one field record. NeoForge takes Forge's place here: it still carries Forge's
loot context patch on this version, so it uses a global loot modifier rather than rebuilding
tables the way the newer NeoForge builds must, and its metadata is still
META-INF/mods.toml, since theneoforge.mods.tomlrename came in 1.20.5. - 1.19.2 and 1.18.2 predate
GuiGraphics, so the card draws through a small shim over the pose stack and its drawing code stays identical to every other build. Tooltips are assembled by the screen rather than by GuiGraphics, so the card is spliced in there. - 1.18.2 is one step younger again: text components are built from their own classes rather
than
Componentfactories, structures are configured structure features reached through their own registry, Fabric's command callback is at v1, and Forge's loot modifiers are described by a Gson serialiser rather than a codec.
Testing
Every file in this folder was booted on a real dedicated server on the versions it claims, including both ends of every range: Fabric on 1.21.11, 1.21.6, 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.2, 1.21, 1.20.4, 1.19.2 and 1.18.2; NeoForge 21.11, 21.5, 21.4 and 20.4; Forge 43 and Forge 40. Each run was checked for mixin failures, missing methods and fields, and exceptions thrown out of the loot event.
Gaps, and why
- 1.21.9 and 1.21.10 have no file. Command permissions became a permission set in 1.21.11 and the constants the build compiles against do not exist in the two versions before it. Both were tested and both fail at load, so no file claims them.
- NeoForge is missing on 1.21, 1.21.2, 1.21.3, 1.21.6 and 1.21.7. NeoForge never left beta for 1.21.6 and 1.21.7, the mixins fail to attach on 21.0 because it ships an older Mixin than the jar is built against, and on 21.3 the loot table event cannot say which table is being filled, so the server would run but nothing would ever be stamped. Fabric covers all five.
- Forge is missing on 1.20.4. The toolchain the other Forge builds use cannot build Forge 49, and the 1.20.4 ecosystem moved to NeoForge, so that is what this version ships.
