Castlebound: Medieval Realms

Build your castle. Establish your settlement. Prepare for battle.

Castlebound is an early medieval settlement mod for Minecraft Java Edition. Build your own castle block by block, manage resources, recruit residents and challenge an enemy camp.

Features

• Establish your realm: Place a lodestone to become the heart of your settlement.

• Manage resources: Store food, wood, stone and iron in a shared realm stockpile.

• Recruit workers: Hire farmers to harvest and replant wheat, and lumberjacks to gather nearby oak logs.

• Defend your settlement: Recruit iron golem guards to fight hostile mobs.

• Capture an enemy camp: Defeat three pillager defenders and claim a one-time resource reward.

• English interface: All built-in commands, messages and resident labels are in English.

Getting Started

1. Place a lodestone and stand on top of it.

2. Run /realm found My Castle.

3. Build beds near your realm heart.

4. Carry bread, oak logs and iron ingots, then use /realm deposit.

5. Recruit your first worker with /realm hire farmer.

6. Use /realm help to see all available commands.

Your castle and settlement are built by you—the mod does not build them automatically.

Requirements

• Minecraft Java Edition 26.2

• Minecraft Forge 65.1.5

• Java 25

For multiplayer, install the mod on both the Forge server and each player's client. Fabric API is not required.

Early Beta

This release provides the foundation for settlement gameplay. Large NPC castles, player castle capture, siege weapons, diplomacy and land protection are not included yet.

Normal Minecraft PvP remains available, but Castlebound does not currently manage wars between players.

Start in a new test world and back up your saves. Feedback and bug reports are welcome!
