Getting Started

Ready to begin your Cardbound collection? Here's how to get started!

1. Find Your First Supplies

Explore your Minecraft world and search loot chests for booster packs and Vials of Essence.

Keep an eye out while adventuring. You'll never know when you'll stumble upon something to expand your collection!

2. Craft Your Own Booster Packs

Don't want to rely entirely on exploration? You can also craft booster packs using materials gathered throughout your adventures.

Each pack has its own crafting recipe. Here's an example for the Origins of the Realm booster pack:

3. Open a Booster Pack

Once you've found or crafted a booster pack, open it to reveal your new cards!

Discover different rarities, expand your collection, and keep an eye out for rare holographic variants.

4. Put Your Cards to Work

Equip a card and activate its ability to unleash its unique power.

Abilities consume Essence, which regenerates over time, and may have cooldowns. Experiment with different cards to discover which ones work best for your adventures!

5. Build Your Collection

Keep exploring, opening packs, and discovering new abilities. With 82 cards in Origins of the Realm, and more incoming, there's plenty to find!

Customization

Choose between detailed and minimal Essence HUD styles, control when the HUD appears, customize your keybindings, and toggle automatic card reveals.

Settings are accessible through Cardbound's in-game settings screen, with optional Mod Menu integration.

Installation

1. Install Minecraft 26.2 with Fabric Loader.
2. Install the compatible Fabric API version.
3. Download Cardbound.
4. Place the Cardbound and the Fabric API JAR in your mods folder.
5. Launch Minecraft and start collecting!

For multiplayer, install Cardbound and its required dependencies on both the server and connecting clients.

Release Status

Cardbound is currently in public beta.

The first collection is complete, and this release is focused on gathering player feedback, fixing bugs, and improving the overall experience before version 1.0.

If you encounter a bug, please open an issue in the GitHub Issues section, or report them on my Discord. Suggestions are also heavily appreciated.

Future updates are planned to expand Cardbound with additional card sets, abilities, and features.
