CameraFIGS adds a small floating webcam display above players' heads, allowing you to see your friends' reactions while playing together.
Video is visible to nearby players in the same dimension, with a default viewing distance of 50 blocks.

• Java 21
• A compatible webcam is required only if you want to transmit video.
No webcam is required to watch other players.
Physical and virtual cameras may work if they are detected by the bundled capture library.
Compatibility depends on your camera, operating system, and drivers. Support for every webcam or OBS Virtual Camera configuration is not guaranteed.

Players without CameraFIGSmod can still join the server if the other installed mods allow it, but they cannot send or view webcam video.
In singleplayer, or on a server without CameraFIGSmod installed, the mod supports local viewing only.
Sharing video with other players requires server-side installation.
CAMERA CONTROLS
Your camera starts only when you explicitly enable it.
Opening the settings menu or joining a server does not automatically activate the camera.
Disconnecting from a server stops the stream.
Reconnecting does not automatically turn the camera back on.
A separate "Turn webcam off" key can be assigned in Minecraft controls. It is unassigned by default.
Camera status and errors are displayed in the settings screen.
SERVER SETTINGS
Operators with permission level 2 can change stream quality using:
/camerafigsmod quality <0|1|2>
Quality levels:
0 — Low
160x120
Maximum 10 FPS
1 — Medium
240x180
2 — High
320x240
Circular frames use a centered square crop.
The selected quality is saved by the server.
The server configuration can also control:
• Maximum FPS
• Bandwidth per player
• Viewing distance from 1 to 50 blocks
The default server FPS limit is 15 FPS.
Low quality is additionally limited to 10 FPS.
Selecting 30 FPS on the client does not override server limits.
On NeoForge 21.1.244, the server configuration file is located at:
config/camerafigsmod-server.toml
NOTES AND KNOWN LIMITATIONS
• Video is transmitted through the Minecraft server to compatible nearby players.
• CameraFIGSmod does not save webcam video frames to disk.
• Higher quality settings increase bandwidth usage.
For slower or limited connections, start with Low quality.
• Compatibility with ragdoll and player-physics mods is currently partial.
Webcam positioning may behave unexpectedly when these mods modify the player's model or animation.
• Busy camera devices or unresponsive drivers may prevent the webcam from working correctly.
Check the settings screen for error messages.
In some cases, a camera driver hang may require restarting Minecraft.
UPDATING
When upgrading from version 1.1.0, update the server and all clients at the same time because the network protocol has changed.
Versions 1.2.0 and 1.2.1 are network-compatible.
Keep only one CameraFIGSmod JAR file inside each mods folder.
