Buying Chunks — FTB Chunks Addon

A addon for FTB Chunks that adds a fully-featured chunk shop system to your server. Admins can put claimed chunks up for sale, and players can browse and purchase them directly from the FTB Chunks map GUI.

BuyingChunks – Changelog

[1.1.1]

Added

  • Purchase Confirmation Screen — Clicking a shop chunk on the FTB Chunks map now opens a confirmation popup instead of buying immediately.

    • Shows the chunk coordinates, item price, and two buttons: Buy and Cancel.
    • Pressing ESC also cancels and returns to the map.
    • After confirming, the map refreshes automatically once the server confirms the purchase.
  • Base Cost — A new global claiming cost that applies to every chunk claim, independent of the shop system.

    • When set, any player who claims a chunk must pay the configured items. If they cannot afford it, the claim is automatically reversed.
    • Server teams are fully exempt from the base cost.
    • When drag-claiming multiple chunks at once, results are summarized in a single chat message instead of one message per chunk.
    • Set cost: /claimshop basecost set <item> <amount>
    • Remove cost: /claimshop basecost remove
    • Check current cost: /claimshop basecost info
  • Base Cost HUD — When a base cost is configured, a small styled panel is rendered to the left of the FTB Chunks map screen showing the current cost per chunk ("Claim Cost / Nx Item / per Chunk"). The panel is hidden when no base cost is set.

  • Player Selling — A global server toggle that allows regular players (not just server teams) to list their own claimed chunks for sale using /claimshop set and delist them using /claimshop remove.

    • Disabled by default. Admins without OP level 2 are also blocked if it is off.
    • Players can only list or delist chunks that belong to their own team. Admins (OP 2+) bypass this check.
    • Enable: /claimshop playersell true
    • Disable: /claimshop playersell false
  • Player Income — When a player-listed chunk is sold, the original seller now automatically receives the payment.

    • If the seller is online: items are placed directly into their inventory, or dropped at their feet if their inventory is full.
    • If the seller is offline: items are saved as pending income and delivered the next time they log in, with a notification message.
    • Income can be toggled per selling team (e.g. to prevent NPC shop teams from accumulating items):
      • Enable income for a team: /claimshop playerincome <teamname> true
      • Disable income for a team: /claimshop playerincome <teamname> false
    • Sales from server teams never generate income (items go to no one).
  • Auto-Reclaim — Server teams can now be configured to automatically re-claim a chunk after a buyer unclaims it, effectively resetting the plot back to the shop.

    • Only works for server teams Teamprice enabled!! — attempting to enable it on a player team returns an error.
    • When auto-reclaim is active, the original owning team of each purchased chunk is tracked server-side and persists across restarts.
    • Enable: /claimshop autoreclaim <teamname> true
    • Disable: /claimshop autoreclaim <teamname> false

Changed

  • /claimshop set now checks the Player Selling toggle before allowing non-admin players to list chunks.
  • /claimshop remove now also checks ownership — non-admin players can only delist chunks that belong to their own team.
  • The sync packet (SyncClaimShopPacket) now also carries the current base cost so all connected clients receive it automatically on join and on every update.
  • ClaimShopSync.syncToPlayer now correctly reads the saved data from overworld() instead of the player's current level, fixing a potential mismatch when a player is in a non-overworld dimension.
  • Added architectury-neoforge as a compile/runtime dependency in build.gradle.

Fixed

  • Bulk-claiming many chunks at once no longer floods chat — all success and failure results within a single server tick are now accumulated and sent as one summary message per player.
  • Purchasing a chunk from a server team now stores a neutral NO_SELLER UUID instead of the UUID of the player who triggered the auto-list, preventing incorrect income payouts.
