BuildPrint 0.1.34 (Fabric, MC 26.3)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Added
- Magic select, a new editor tool: click to select what's joined up and alike. It picks all the oak, say, a whole tree, or redstone as one machine. The wheel switches to the same block only, a wall, floor or roof, or the whole build. A click adds, a right-click takes out, and it shows what it will take first. Also
/buildprint select magic. The number keys for the tools after Select are one higher. All versions. - Move and Rotate are one gizmo. Arrows move and arcs turn, and right-clicking the middle flips. Press P on a block to turn around it, and R to go back to the middle. The Rotate tool is gone, so the number keys after Move are one lower. All versions.
- Builds land on the ground in the editor. They stay on it as you move them, and box edges pull in to what's built. Hold Alt to place freely, or turn it off in the settings. All versions.
- The line under the toolbar says what the gizmo part you aim at does. Gizmos also keep their size from further away, and boxes and gizmos slide instead of jumping. All versions.
Changed
- The Loaded tab shows builds in other dimensions and worlds in their own folded sections, at the bottom of the list. "In the Nether", "In the End" and "In another world" each say how many builds are there, and the number on the tab counts only the builds where you are. On a server, builds in its other dimensions are now listed too, so nothing seems lost. All versions.
- Build pictures have proper light. The 3D preview, published pictures and Local tiles show shadows, dark rooms and lit lamps. All versions.
- A guide walks you through each editor tool the first time. It moves on when you've done the step. Enter skips it, it can be turned off under Schematics in the settings, and
/buildprint resetstarts it again. All versions. - The editor's wheel works on the tool in your hand, and the toolbar says what it does. Move and Place push the build away or closer, Select and Resize move the side you aim nearest to, and Magic changes what a click picks. All versions.
- Camera speed in the editor is Ctrl and the wheel on every tool. It takes bigger steps, shows the speed and is remembered. All versions.
- Tools change with Q and E, or Alt and the wheel, as well as the number keys. Q and E follow your drop and inventory keys. All versions.
- Paste is on the editor's toolbar where pasting works. All versions.
- Only N makes another region in the editor. A click in Select or Magic changes the box you have, so none appears by accident. All versions.
- Editor selections belong to their dimension. A box made in the Nether stays there, and is back when you return. Leaving the world clears them. All versions.
- Regions are easier to remove. Right-click one in Select, or press Delete or Backspace. Ctrl+Z brings it back. All versions.
- Shift in the editor only flies the camera down, and Escape cancels what's half done before it leaves. All versions.
- The blocks inside a selection box are tinted while you draw or resize it. All versions.
- Wrong-block marks hide while you place or move a build, so they don't cover the gizmo. All versions.
- Improvements to the editor on macOS. Shortcuts take Command as well as Control, and a trackpad or Magic Mouse scrolls in steps instead of running away. All versions.
- The next-block highlight's color can be set. It's under Rendering in the settings, with the other colors, and shows in the preview there. All versions.
Fixed
- Saving a huge selection no longer freezes or crashes the game. It runs in the background with progress above the hotbar, and a failed save leaves any file of that name as it was. All versions.
- Saving reaches past your render distance. In single-player it reads the saved world, and on a server with Bobby it fills in the chunks Bobby remembers, except entities there. All versions.
- A save bigger than what you've seen on a server walks you through it. A card shows how far along it is and which way to go, then it saves by itself. With Charted the missing chunks show on its maps too. All versions.
- Builds in a world are no longer lost when you leave it or change dimension just after joining. A build whose file can't be found stays saved, and BuildPrint says so. All versions.
- A build with a block that has no item, like a potted plant, no longer crashes the game while gathering. Those blocks stay off the Gather card. All versions.
- The 3D preview no longer stops partway on blocks from some mods, like SecurityCraft. All versions.
- The printer picks a block up again after you refill it. All versions.
- The printer says when it has nothing left to place here, and shows where what you carry goes next. All versions.
- The printer and easy place use dirt where a build's own cover would turn grass to dirt anyway. Your real grass stays for the cells that keep it. All versions.
- The Gather card shows for a build you haven't been near yet, and stays up in other dimensions on a server. All versions.
- Gather stays on the copy of a build you pressed it on, also after a restart. All versions.
- Removing a build stops gathering for it. All versions.
- Pressing Gather brings the card back if it was turned off, and it says so when nothing is left for you to get. All versions.
- The look-at card stays out of the editor, follows the layer view through water, and checks signs against the build's current text. All versions.
- The build card only says 100% when the build is finished. All versions.
- The block swap list counts what's in your shulker boxes and bundles. All versions.
