BuildPilot is a client-side-only building mod for Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric). It works on servers that do not have the mod installed — including vanilla servers — and in singleplayer.
How it works
- Press B to toggle Build Mode on.
- Press V to open the radial wheel and pick a shape: Single, Line, Wall or Box — Wall and Box also have fill modes (Filled / Frame / Hollow).
- Right-click a block to set the first corner, aim at the far corner — a translucent ghost preview with a live block count follows your aim — and right-click again to place. Left-click cancels.
- Blocks are placed one at a time through ordinary vanilla interactions, BFS-ordered from the first corner so every block is placed against a real neighbour. The server only ever sees normal placements, exactly as if you clicked each block by hand.
- The XP bar doubles as a build progress bar while a build runs.
Honest limits (client-only)
- No extended reach — everything is within your real vanilla reach.
- No floating placement — every block needs a real neighbour to place against.
- No instant placement — the ghost shows the final shape; blocks fill in one by one as you stay in reach.
- No Fabric API or other dependencies. No server component, no commands, no config screen. Config (max blocks, place rate) lives in
config/buildpilot.json.
Install
- Install Fabric Loader 0.19.3+ for Minecraft 26.2 (Java 25).
- Drop
buildpilot-26.2.jarinto yourmodsfolder. - Done — both keybinds are rebindable in Options → Controls → BuildPilot.
BuildPilot is an original implementation. Its two-point, radial-menu workflow is inspired by the building style popularised by Effortless Building, but it contains no Effortless Building code, assets or text.
