BuildCraft Refabricated

The classic BuildCraft automation experience, rebuilt for Fabric on Minecraft.

BuildCraft Refabricated is an unofficial Fabric port of BuildCraft, one of the mods that defined Minecraft automation. Mine with quarries, pump and refine oil, power everything with engines, move resources through smart pipes, and automate it all with programmable gates. The full BuildCraft toolkit, faithful to the 8.0.x era, rebuilt for modern Fabric.

If you ever piped items across your base, watched a quarry chew through stone, or wired up gates to run a factory on its own, this is that experience. And now it plugs straight into the rest of your Fabric modpack.

Gameplay by module

Factory and mining

Mark an area, give it power, and the machines do the rest.

• Quarry digs a marked region down to bedrock and sends everything it finds into pipes.
• Mining Well drills a single shaft straight down.
• Pump drains water, lava and oil into your fluid network.
• Flood Gate does the opposite and fills an area with whatever fluid it is given.
• Tanks stack vertically into one tall column of fluid storage.
• Auto Workbench crafts a recipe on its own from ingredients delivered by pipe.
• Chute catches items dropped onto it and passes them into the inventory below.

Oil and energy

Everything runs on MJ.

• Oil pools and springs generate in the world.
• The Distiller refines crude oil through three heat stages, each yielding different fuels.
• Redstone Engine for pumping and light work, Stone Engine for solid fuel, Iron Engine for liquid fuel with coolant, and a Creative Engine for testing.
• The RF Energy Engine and MJ Dynamo convert between MJ and Team Reborn Energy when that mod is installed.

Pipes

• Wooden pipes extract from inventories. Cobblestone, Stone and Quartz carry items at different speeds.
• Iron pipes push items in one direction. Diamond pipes sort by item into separate outputs.
• Emerald pipes extract only what matches a filter. Lapis pipes paint items a colour and Daizuli pipes route them by it.
• Obsidian pipes pick up dropped items from the world.
• Sandstone pipes connect only to other pipes.
• Void pipes destroy whatever enters them.
• Stripes pipes place blocks and use items on the world.
• Fluid and kinesis pipes carry liquids and MJ, and RF pipes carry Team Reborn Energy.

Gates and wires

Gates read what is around them, a full tank, an overheating engine, an empty chest, and fire actions in response. Pipe wires carry signals between gates, so machines can switch each other on and off without any redstone.

Builders

• Architect Table scans a structure into a blueprint.
• Builder rebuilds a blueprint anywhere, as long as it is supplied with the materials.
• Filler clears, flattens or fills a marked region.
• Replacer swaps blocks inside a blueprint for others.
• Electronic Library stores blueprints and moves them between worlds.

Robotics

• Docking Station is where a robot lives and charges.
• Zone Planner draws work areas on a map, and Map Locations carry them to the stations.
• Robots run one board each: lumberjack, miner, planter, picker, carrier and the rest, handling farms, drops and deliveries around the base.

Silicon

• Assembly Table and Integration Table craft gates, chipsets and pipe wires with lasers.
• Advanced Crafting Table crafts ordinary recipes with laser power.
• Programming, Charging and Stamping tables and the Packager cover the rest.
• Facades hide pipes behind a block, lenses paint items passing through a pipe or let only one colour through.

Tools

• Paintbrush colours pipes and blocks.
• Volume markers, path markers and volume boxes define areas for quarries, fillers and builders.
• List sets up the same filter across many pipes at once.

Other mods

• Pipes and machines read and write other mods' chests, drawers, tanks and machines through the standard Fabric transfer API. Nothing extra to install.
• Any mod that speaks Team Reborn Energy can feed the RF side, and the two converter engines bridge it to MJ.
• Other mods' fluids pump, pipe and store like water or lava.
• Every recipe shows up in JEI and REI.
