Build together. Stay in sync
Build together. Stay in sync turns Litematica into a team tool. Share a schematic with your friends, see live build progress in percent, know which materials are still missing and who is holding them, and split layers between you so nobody builds the same thing twice.
The mod is client-side only. Nothing has to be installed on the Minecraft server, so it also works on regular SMP servers.
Note: the in-game menu is currently in German. Button names are given below as “German label (English meaning)”.
Required mods
| Mod | Version |
|---|---|
| Minecraft | 26.2 |
| Fabric Loader | 0.19.5 or newer |
| Fabric API | 0.161.0+26.2 or newer |
| Litematica | 0.28.8 or newer |
| MaLiLib | 0.29.6 or newer (required by Litematica) |
Every player in a group needs this mod. Even if you only want to help build, you still need Litematica so the preview can be displayed.
Quick start
- Install: put Fabric API, Litematica, MaLiLib and this mod into your
modsfolder and launch Minecraft 26.2 with Fabric. - Open the menu: press F8 in game, or type
/bgin chat. The connection to the group service is made automatically. - Create a group: in the Gruppe (Group) tab, enter a name and press Gründen (Create).
- Invite friends: open Einladen… (Invite) and type their Minecraft name, or click a player under “Auf diesem Server” (on this server). Your friend sees the invitation when opening the menu and accepts it. An invite code you can copy (e.g. for Discord) works too.
- Share a build: load the schematic in Litematica and place it where it belongs. Then, in the Bauten (Builds) tab, enter a name and press Auswahl teilen (Share selection).
- Build together: the others open the build under Bauten and press Aktivieren (Activate). The schematic is downloaded automatically and shown at the same position.
Features
Build progress
The mod compares the blocks in the world with the schematic and shows progress in percent, identical for everyone in the group. Under Bereiche & wer baut was (Areas & who builds what) you can see how many confirmed blocks each member has placed.
Materials
The Material tab lists, for each item, how much is needed, how much is already placed and what is missing. Hover over a row to see who has what where, i.e. in which inventory or chest. With Nur sichtbare Ebenen (Visible layers only), only materials for the layers Litematica currently shows are counted.
Shared storage
Look at a chest, barrel or shulker box, name it in the Lager (Storage) tab and press Ziel markieren (Mark target), or just type /bg mark. Then open the container once. Its contents count for the whole group, and marked storage is outlined in the world. Ender chests stay private.
Reserve areas (voluntary)
Under Bauten › build › Bereiche & wer baut was you can reserve layers, e.g. “Y 64–70”. A coloured frame appears in the world, and the top of the screen shows whose area you are currently building in. “Nur das zeigen” (Show only this) limits Litematica to your layers. Reservations are only a hint to the group: nobody is blocked, and you can build without any reservations at all.
Group and ranks
- Founder: assigns ranks, can transfer or delete the group.
- Admin: invites, removes members and manages all builds.
- Member: builds, shares builds and marks storage.
The member list shows each player’s skin head with a green frame when online and a red one when offline. The same head HUD is available in game and can be turned off.
Preview
Litematica holograms on/off, preview opacity, layer selection (single, range or all), frames for reserved areas on/off.
Keys and commands
| Key / command | Function |
|---|---|
| F8 | open the menu (rebindable in Controls under “Baugruppe”) |
/bg or /baugruppe |
open the menu |
/bg mark |
mark the container you are looking at as group storage |
| Esc / Tab | close the menu / switch field |
Fair play
This mod only displays information and automates nothing. It places no blocks, takes no items from chests and has no “printer” function. Still, check your server’s rules on whether Litematica and info mods are allowed.
Privacy: what data goes where
To keep the group in sync, the mod connects to a group service (default: baugruppe.tail43d688.ts.net). Only data for groups you joined yourself is sent:
- your Minecraft name and last-online time
- shared schematics and their position (server address, dimension, coordinates)
- your inventory if “Inventar teilen” (Share inventory) in Optionen (Options) is on (default: on), and the contents of marked storage
- build progress and reserved areas
When signing in, the mod confirms your Minecraft account with Mojang, the same way joining a server does. The group service never receives your password or access token. Member skins are loaded directly from Mojang.
Nothing is sent to the Minecraft server. Under Optionen › Eigener Gruppendienst… (Own group service) you can also run your own group service.
Troubleshooting
- “Nicht verbunden” (not connected): press Erneut versuchen (Try again) under Optionen. With a firewall or VPN, outgoing HTTPS must be allowed.
- Invitation by name doesn’t arrive: the invited player must be signed in with a real Minecraft account. The invite code always works as an alternative.
- Build can’t be activated: a build belongs to a specific server and dimension. Join the same world it was shared in.
