Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Brutally Realistic 1.4.1
Bug fixes. Minecraft 26.2, NeoForge and Fabric. Existing worlds are fine.
Things you couldn't do
- The great firepit wouldn't light. Right-clicking it with a fire striker, a bow drill or embers only showed its status. The same problem stopped fire starters on the oil lamp, the bloomery and the charcoal pile. On a forge hearth holding a piece, the click handed the piece back instead of lighting the fire. An item in your hand now always acts on these blocks; an empty hand still shows their status or takes the piece out.
- You couldn't sit on the log bench. The click did nothing. You now sit down.
Items you couldn't get
A full audit of every item now traces each one, ingredient by ingredient, back to something found in the world. It found:
- Turnip, cabbage, lentils, onion and winter wheat couldn't be grown: their seeds only came from the crops themselves.
- Grass and ferns now sometimes drop turnip, cabbage or lentil seeds (6 %).
- Wild onions drop onion seeds (one time in two), as well as the onion itself.
- Wild wheat sometimes drops winter wheat seeds (one time in four).
- Fish glue had no recipe. It now simmers in the cooking pot: two fish and a bone give two fish glue.
- Dirty bandages never appeared, even though there is a recipe to wash them. A bandage now comes off dirty when you put a fresh one on, or when the wound under it has healed.
- Copper armor had lost its recipe. It is now forged on the anvil, stone anvil included: 4 copper ingots for the helmet, 8 for the chestplate, 7 for the leggings and 4 for the boots.
Every other item in the mod can be obtained in survival. The vanilla wooden and stone tools still have no recipe on purpose: the mod's assembled tools replace them.
