Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Brutally Realistic 1.1.2
Bug-fix release. Minecraft 26.2, NeoForge and Fabric. Existing worlds are fine, no new world needed.
Crafting and stations
- Knapping table: the two bottom rows of the grid now work. Before, clicking them did nothing, and one cell scrambled the whole grid.
- Knapping table: breaking a clay mold no longer freezes the grid until you reopen the table.
- Anvil: placing ingots or a work piece while the anvil is open now shows the matching recipes right away.
- Anvil: reopening an anvil that already holds ingots or a half-forged piece no longer shows an empty recipe list.
- Anvil: finishing or ruining a piece can no longer delete an item left in the result slot.
- Anvil: a piece started on a stronger anvil can no longer be finished on a weaker one.
- Crucible: breaking a crucible no longer deletes what is inside. The ore pops out, and the molten metal stays in the dropped crucible.
- Crucible: a crucible put away hot now cools down while carried or stored, instead of coming back molten.
- Bloomery: the progress bar and remaining time now count in the right direction.
- Cooking pot and water filter: boiled and filtered water can be collected again with a clay pot.
- Cooking pot and water filter: partly drunk water pots no longer come out of the filter full or leave the cooking pot stuck. A pot already stuck can be emptied.
- Cooking pot, larder, ice box, compost bin: their menus now close when you walk away or the block is broken.
- Cooking pot, larder, ice box: items put in are now always saved, along with the larder's freshness bonus.
- Compost bin: the output slot no longer accepts items, so it can't be jammed with something that isn't compost.
- Salting barrel, smoking rack, drying rack: preserving no longer makes old or spoiled food fresh again. The preserved food keeps the age it already had.
Items and duplication fixes
- Carrying a chest or barrel no longer spills its items on the ground while also keeping them inside.
- Backpacks and seed pouches can no longer be duplicated by dropping or swapping them while they are open. Their own slot is locked while you look inside.
- Corpses: their items can no longer be duplicated by keeping the window open while the corpse turns into a skeleton.
- Clothes are no longer duplicated when you die with the Body screen open.
- Thrown spears now hit only once, instead of repeatedly hurting the animal they are stuck in.
- A held stack of torches now burns out one torch at a time instead of the whole stack.
- Opening a backpack or seed pouch from the off-hand no longer locks your selected hotbar slot.
- The flint hand axe and the crude spear now have their proper weight.
Downed, death and respawn
- You are only knocked down by hits that would really kill you. Armor, shields, Resistance, protection and absorption now count.
- Cactus, fire, magma or suffocation no longer drain the downed timer in two seconds.
- Collapsing from cold or thirst right after being revived is now fatal, like any other second knock-down.
- Switching to creative or spectator while downed now gets you back up instead of killing you.
- Fixed respawning still downed, and dying again, after being killed while downed.
- Fabric: your corpse now holds your whole inventory instead of it scattering on the ground.
- Fabric: after death, your body, injuries and stats now reset properly, and nothing breaks when you come back from the End.
Survival
- Frost now kills unprotected crops, and cold frames and greenhouses protect them. It used to be the other way around.
- Sugar cane, bamboo, cocoa and berry bushes no longer die from drought or waterlogged soil.
- Turning farmland back into dirt and tilling it again no longer restores its fertility.
- Drinking from a water pot now uses the real quality of the water inside.
- You can now fill a clay pot or an empty waterskin from deep water, where you can't reach the bottom.
- Starting to eat spoiled food and stopping no longer makes your next drink risk food poisoning.
- Fabric: spoiled and stale food now gives less saturation, as intended.
- Being overburdened no longer drains stamina while you stand still, and you can always eat and drink while winded.
- Stamina and weight penalties are removed when you switch to creative or spectator, or when those features are turned off.
- The wheelbarrow slowdown no longer stays on you after logging out or changing dimension while pushing it.
- Distance walked while overburdened now carries over between sessions for its advancement.
Sleep
- Daytime naps and collapsing from exhaustion no longer skip the day or speed up time.
- Naps, and sleeps interrupted right away, no longer break your streak of good nights or give you Poor Sleep.
- Hiding the interface (F1) no longer cancels the micro-sleep blackout or the downed vignette.
Animals
- Naturally spawned wolf and lynx packs now despawn like other animals instead of piling up night after night.
- Wounded deer and ibex no longer fully heal when their chunk reloads or you rejoin.
- An angry bear keeps its damage bonus after a chunk reload.
- Animals caught alive in a snare are now released when the snare breaks, instead of staying frozen forever.
- Migrating herds no longer resume walking to last season's destination.
- Wild wolves and lynxes can now be bred by feeding them meat while they are calm.
- Breaking and replacing a worn snare no longer resets its remaining uses.
Tribes
- Founding a tribe at a totem no longer uses up your camp banner when the name is refused. The totem must also be within reach.
- Kicking a tribe member now always removes their team color, whatever capitalization you type.
- A tribe totem can no longer be placed at build height, where it would be left without its top part.
- The tribe screen now updates right away when you receive, accept or decline an invite, or are kicked. Reset in the Roles tab now restores your current roles.
Weather and world
- The ambient wind sound plays again.
- Rain no longer adds up forever in cold places: each new shower used to turn the ground to mud immediately.
- Tracks and puddles reappear after a trip to another dimension.
- Fixed rare broken river pieces that could appear when the world generates on several threads.
- The storm and water state is sent again when you come back from another dimension, so no leftover blizzard fog or wind.
- Switching worlds or servers no longer carries over the wind rose, storm gauge, smoke signals, season or darkness state from the previous one.
Interface
- The low-morale icon no longer covers the wind rose or the offhand slot.
- The skill XP bar no longer covers your hearts, food and armor.
- The tips about stalking predators, sleep deprivation and storm exposure now appear when relevant.
Commands and config
- Config changes now apply right away in singleplayer and for a LAN host, without reloading the world.
/windnow holds the wind you set for 10 minutes instead of drifting back within seconds./storm hailnow thunders like a natural hailstorm./locatefor terrain features now searches in the background, so the server no longer freezes while it looks. It answers at once when that feature is turned off./locaterun from another dimension now suggests a correct teleport height.
Performance
- Fixed a memory leak where cows, sheep, pigs, goats and chickens stayed in memory after unloading or dying.
- Fixed a slowdown after playing a long time far from animals (Nether, End, deep caves).
- Saved weather data and ground-mark tracking no longer grow forever as you explore.
- Fixed invisible light blocks left behind when going through a portal or respawning while holding a lit torch.
