Description
Brimstep
### Beta Note!!! Brimstep is a Forge 1.20.1 movement and combat mod about folding space with timing, momentum, and consequence.
Craft the Dimensional Lens, wake the Fold, and start moving like the world has hidden edges only you can feel. Brimstep is not a random pile of powers; it is a focused teleport kit built around a few inputs, a Spatial Fatigue meter, and fast decisions under pressure.
Blink through danger. Carry a fall into a forward slingshot. Snap your momentum to a dead stop. Chain through enemies only after landing a real hit. Step into the Void Foyer, a same-coordinate mirror layer where captured mobs can be sealed away from the real world until you choose to release them.
What Makes It Different
- Movement has weight. Your velocity matters, and your stance changes how the Fold treats it.
- Combat has rhythm. Chain BAMF is gated by confirmed hits, so the strongest plays come from timing instead of spam.
- Fatigue creates tension. Every fold builds strain. Push too hard and the Fold tears back.
- The Void Foyer is a living prison, not item storage. Captured mobs stay alive, visible, and contained in a parallel layer.
- Server-side validation keeps teleports honest with safe landing checks and authoritative target selection.
Core Features
- Blink and Farstep teleporting for combat, traversal, windows, doors, and safe block-targeted movement.
- Chain BAMF combat: Blink, land the hit, then fold through the next target during a short chain window.
- Kinetic stances: Anchor cancels motion; Flow redirects momentum into forward speed.
- Paradox Drift: snap back to a recent departure point before the window closes.
- Atlas Slip: use filled maps for long-range spatial travel.
- Rift Slipstream: leave behind rift lines that can accelerate allied projectiles or fuel Spatial Barrage.
- Riposte Fold: prepare a counter-fold against projectile pressure.
- Passenger Tether: pull allies or mobs through a standard Blink when the landing is safe.
- Void Foyer: enter a grayscale mirror layer, capture mobs, and release them later through safe surfacing rules.
- Custom HUD, fatigue pips, dark smoke, violet rift sparks, layered BAMF sounds, FOV punch, and shader-pack fallback handling.
