Brecher's Hyperspace Rifts adds cooperative, staged raid encounters to Cobblemon as a skills-based pathway to obtain Legendary Pokemon. Battle your way through the Hyperspace Rifts that tear open across the world to find the materials and attunements you need to summon and defeat Legendaries to earn a capture opportunity.

While I'd be remiss if I didn't point out this that mod was heavily inspired by the popular Cobblemon Raid Dens mod (which I highly recommend checking out!), this project was primarily motivated by a desire for a non-intrusive way to provide better and more consistent coverage for obtaining Legendary Pokemon into the game, without turning it into a firehose, and to encourage community cooperation.

How it Works

Enterable Hyperspace Rifts in various flavors (Fading, Stable, Unstable, Volatile, and Chaotic) will spawn and de-spawn across your world, each tier tougher and more rewarding than the last. Rifts are only open for a limited time and will regularly spawn and de-spawn across your world - in old chunks and new. To find them, you can encounter one while out exploring or craft up a Resonance Compass to show you the way!

Each Rift will present players with a set of encounters they must battle through to complete. Encounter bosses have a health pool that is shared among all participants, so it definitely helps to work together! Higher tier Rifts start introducing Anomalies that affect the mechanics of the fight, and completing stages will allow participants to vote on Facet bonuses that will carry through to the end of the Rift.

Completing Chaotic Rifts will earn you the materials needed to craft Legendary Crystals, which can be attuned to Legendary Pokemon encountered in the Rifts and charged to initiate a Convergence Raid. Convergence Raids are the most difficult encounters in the mod, but defeating the boss will give participants a limited ability to capture that Legendary for their own collection.

Dev's Notes

While I'm still working on the balancing, the goal is for Rifts/Convergence to be difficult, but still solo-able, and getting slightly easier with more participants.

More anomalies, combat mechanics, balancing, and Arenas (along with an API if you want to add your own) are coming soon!

The source code is All Rights Reserved, but you are free to include this mod in modpacks and on servers so long as attribution is given in the case of commercialized modpacks, servers, communities and/or equivalents.
