A Sharpness V netherite sword does 11 points of damage. A Power V bow can do up to 25.
Bows are OP.
They are so OP that they make tridents and crossbows redundant.
This mod makes it so that the closer the target is to the player the less damage a bow does.
It retains the bow as the preferred long-range weapon, but the crossbow or trident are better at medium-range.
At a range of 32 blocks the bow does its full damage amount, but it does less and less as the distance shortens.
From about 16 blocks distance tridents and crossbows are preferable to bows.
Recommended for use paired with the No Sitting Ducks mod.
