Description
About
Bounty of the Land is a farming mod, geared towards giving a bigger, better experience with agriculture in general. Vanilla Minecraft's farming is... plain, you break some tall grass for seeds, you sow and wait for food. It is nice, though not exactly entertaining. On the other hand, plenty of farming mods overwhelm you with dozens of crops copy one another and are poorly integrated into vanilla's mechanics that do revolve around farming (like animal breeding or composting). This mod aims to hit a sweet spot in the middle: have variety, but not some much that you need to build a warehouse just for your crops, while looking to provide (in the future) a deeper, more realized farming system.
Features
- Non-overwhelming crop numbers: A small, but flavorful selection of crops from different climate regions, for a more immersive early game.
- Wild crops: Find wild varieties of a crop to get their seeds, instead of getting them from grass or more obscure methods.
- Integration: All content is integrated into vanilla Minecraft. Feed corn seeds to your chickens, or throw your yams into the composter!
FAQ
OK, but what crops are added by this mod?
As of the most recent version:
- Corn
- Millet
- Rice
- Rye
- Yams
Why can't I get wheat seeds from grass anymore?! How do I get my hands on the new crops?
In Bounty of the Land all the crops, even the vanilla ones, have a wild variety of their plant from which their seeds are dropped. If you want wheat, you'll have to find its wild variety!
Where do I find X crop? What are the food values of X item? What can I feed to animal mobs?
Go to the wiki on the mod's repository for the answers to these questions.
Is it compatible with X mod?
I have no idea, test it out. That being said, as of the most recent version there is no mod compatibility support, so there's a chance that the answer is no.
Would you please add support for X mod?
Maybe, will depend on a lot of factors but most importantly on whether the mod in question is up to date with MC version Bounty of the Land is being developed in.
Would you port this mod to X version (prior to 1.15.2)?/Would you port the mod to Fabric?
No. Not happening.
