Bountiful v3.0.0 is here!
This version requires Kottle to work.
I'm releasing Bountiful v3.0.0 for Minecraft v1.15! This is not an update to the original version of Bountiful, but rather a full rewrite. Functionally, this mod is almost the same but I added a bit of fun to it. Here's what's new:
Decrees
Bounty boards now have three slots in them, specifically for decrees. A bounty board MUST have at least one decree in it at all times, but you can always add more. A decree determines what bounties show up at the bounty board! For example, if you come across a bounty board with an Armorsmithing decree in it, then the objectives and rewards created for bounties at this board will be related to armor (leather, iron, diamond, armor pieces, etc). There are about 13 decrees by default, and you can mix and match them at whatever bounty board you'd like!
You can get more Decrees by completing certain bounties, or from villager trades.
Item-Tag bounties
You can now be assigned bounties that make you grab some of a certain type of item. For example, the shepherd might ask you to grab "14 of any wool" or "6 of any dye".
World-gen
Bounty boards, as of this time, can only be found and not created. There's roughly a 40-50% chance of them showing up in plains, desert and savanna villages, currently. They can't be broken by default! Once they generate, bounties will start showing up on the board.
Datapack-Driven bounties
Bounties are now defined based on datapacks, which can be loaded into the game via the built in Minecraft datapack system, or with a mod such as Open Loader. This allows other mods to add bounties to Bountiful without adding their own API, AND modpack makers can use this system to define their own bounties / overwrite the default bounties as they see fit.
Tooltips
Tooltips are now more clear, and will tell you how close you are to completing your bounty. It's much easier to tell whether you have all the necessary materials or not!
Bounty Rarity
Bounty rarity does not affect the worth of the bounty anymore. Now, bounties with higher rarity have a higher chance of having more rare rewards in them. Just a chance. :)
Advancements
There are now five advancements that you can get by completing bounties!
Compat
Currently, I've added some support for some items showing up in bounties from these mods:
- Apotheosis (fletching related items)
- Upgrade Modifiers (modifiers)
- Simple Farming (foods)
- Vanilla Food Pantry (foods)
I plan on adding more in the future!
Wiki
I'm currently updating the wiki for this new version, but for now feel free to talk to me on Discord at Ejektaflex#4616. Thank you!
