Introducing BotanicalGenetics! Every plant as you know it now behaves much more realistically!

This mod will take into acount not just the seasons, but also the humidity the temperature, and the soil used to determine if the plant is capable of growing. Using advanced machinery (W.I.P.) you can make selective alterations to your plants to be more durable and yield a far greater harvest than your typical minecraft experience.
