Enjoy darker nights and caves, neutral white torchlight without the modern orange tint, and the classic Beta brightness curve. Daylight changes in distinct steps across the world, while night vision and darkness effects remain supported.

Client-only: works in singleplayer and multiplayer without installing anything on the server.
For a later Beta look, leave Smooth Lighting on. Turn it off for an earlier, blockier appearance.
