Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Borderland 1.4.0 – update from 1.1.0 (includes 1.2.0, 1.3.0 and 1.4.0)
New: Start choice for new players (1.4.0)
- On their first join, new players choose how far from the world spawn their
5x5 start area should be: Normal (close to the others), about 400 blocks or
about 1000 blocks away.
- The search for a start spot runs in the background: no server lag, and no
starts in oceans or rivers.
- Server owners can change the distances in config/grenzland.json
("startChoiceDistances"); an empty list turns the choice off.
New: /terminal and timed bans (1.3.0)
- /terminal <player> opens a menu for a single player (names are suggested
while typing; without a name you get a player list).
- Give single players their own rights in your area (mine, build, chests,
doors, animals ...), trust them, or reset them to the rights for everyone.
- Admins additionally get: teleport to the player, kick, ban and unban.
- Bans with a duration: 30 minutes, 2 hours, 10 hours, 24 hours, 1 week or
forever, with a preset reason or your own reason typed in chat.
- /ban <player> <duration> [reason] works as a command too
(30min, 1h, 2h, 10h, 24h, 3tage, 1woche, 30tage, permanent).
- English translations for all new menus; the guide book mentions /terminal.
New: Live map consent and server rules (1.2.0)
- On their first join, players see the server rules and choose whether their
name may appear on the live map (/live an or /live aus, changeable anytime).
- Without consent, players are only shown anonymously.
Compatibility
- All new features run on the server. Players with the older version can
still join; they just see the new menu texts in German.
