Boomerang blades
adds a throwable shuriken-style weapon in six tiers, from wood to netherite. Charge it like a bow, throw it in a straight line, let it slice through several enemies, and catch it again as it flies back to your hand.

How it works
- Charge and throw: hold right click to charge and release to throw. You can hold the charge as long as you like, and releasing early cancels the throw.
- Straight flight: it travels up to 8 blocks exactly where you aim, spinning and leaving little gusts of wind behind. It turns back if it hits a block.
- Pierces enemies: it passes through several enemies in one throw. Each enemy is hit only once per throw, and every hit costs 1 durability.
- Always comes back: like a Loyalty trident, it returns to the same slot, or to another free slot, or drops at your feet if your inventory is full.
Tiers
| Tier | Damage | Knockback | Pierces |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wooden | 1 | none | 1 enemy |
| Stone | 2 | none | 1 enemy |
| Iron | 4 | 25% | 4 enemies |
| Golden | 5 | 25% | 4 enemies |
| Diamond | 7 | 50% | 4 enemies |
| Netherite | 9 | 100% | 6 enemies |
Knockback is a percentage of a normal sword hit. Crafted in a cross pattern with a stick in the center; the netherite blade is made at the smithing table from a diamond blade.
Enchantments
The blade accepts a fixed set of enchantments: Sharpness, Knockback, Fire Aspect, Looting, Unbreaking, Mending and Quick Charge (which shortens the charge time). Everything else is excluded.
It also has two enchantments of its own, with their own enchanted books. They are exclusive to the Boomerang Blade and show up at the enchanting table more often the higher your table level is (a level 30 table is your best bet):
- Walk: removes the slowdown while charging, so you can walk at normal speed while you charge or hold a throw.

- - Battle Flow: after hitting an enemy, the blade jumps to the nearest hostile mob it has not hit yet, even if it is not in its path, up to the tier's pierce limit. It will not jump through walls.

Good to know
- Works in multiplayer; the server decides damage and hits.
- Requires Fabric API.
