The Book of Mormon Mod
The first ever Book of Mormon mod for Minecraft!
Description:
I was wondering why there were never any religious Minecraft mods, and so I eventually decided to make one. I admit, it's pretty bare-bones so far, but at least it's something! As far as I am aware, this is the first Minecraft mod involving the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! (AKA the LDS Church, or by the originally derogatory term "Mormons.")
The Book of Mormon mod not only adds the famous companion book to the Holy Bible, will also add multiple books of scripture, such as the Old Testament, New Testament, Doctrine & Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, and other related works. PLEASE NOTE: I am still working on this, so more will probably be added in the future!

This mod is completely optional, meaning that you don’t have to download it. It is designed to provide scriptural comfort to Christian Minecraft players, but it’s not strictly just for them.
Please note that this is not created or endorsed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I merely wanted to show my passion for the Gospel and develop a mod that allows myself and possibly others to do so.
Having said this, the scriptural texts in this mod do not contain a full record of their relevant books. It would take far too long and be far too intensive to completely rewrite all the standard works into this mod (plus, it might just crash your game upon loading). This might become more doable for me in the future though. But for now, right-clicking with the scripture books in hand provides selected verses of scripture that have been carefully transcribed to be as accurate as possible.
This mod is not designed to induce hate, negative feelings, or any other contentious emotions in anyone. It was more for myself but I thought it would be kind to share online. Having said that, if you have suggestions or comments or issues with it, I encourage you to share in the comments. I will try and be respectful and patient, however I will not tolerate hate towards anyone.
Please note: Just Enough Items or similar is highly recommended!!

Current Features:
- This mod currently adds a chance for any kind of Zombie to drop a King James Bible when killed.
- You can find copies of the Book of Mormon in villages and abandoned structures (strongholds, end cities, etc).
- When right-clicked with a book of scripture in hand, it will give you a random scripture from that book.
- You can combine/craft other books of scripture!
- Books currently available:
- Holy Bible (King James Version)
- Book of Mormon (Modern, 1830 Edition, and 1980s Edition)
- Doctrine & Covenants
- Pearl of Great Price
- Book of Commandments
Interesting Facts:
- There are currently 54 verses that the Book of Mormon can return.
- The Doctrine & Covenants can return 24 verses so far.
- The Pearl of Great Price has 3 verses to return so far.
- The Holy Bible can return 8 verses from the Old Testament, and 9 from the New Testament.
- It is incredibly rare to find the Golden Plates, but they can be found in Shipwrecks, Desert Pyramids and Abandoned Mineshafts. Combine them with a seer stone (found in same places), and you can craft the original 1830 Edition Book of Mormon!
- Copies of the Book of Mormon may pop up in villages and other places... so keep looking where they would've been left!
- You can combine the four main scripture books together to make a Quadruple Combination, which can return all possible verses so far!
