Bons and Furious

Bons and Furious 1.0.39 for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. Requires Java 21 and NeoForge 21.1.252 or newer. Install bons_and_furious-neoforge-1.0.39+mc1.21.1.jar on the client, the server, or both; optional target mods are not required. Use the separate Forge build for Minecraft 1.20.1.

Fixed: with Bye Pregen installed, chunks that were still being generated could fail to save. Bye Pregen keeps those chunks in its own block storage and normally saves them itself. When its own saver is off, which happens when another mod listens for chunk saves, they go through the regular chunk writer, and vanilla_chunk_palette_direct_nbt could not write that storage. The log shows Failed to save chunk with UnsupportedOperationException, and NeoForge writes a report for each chunk, so stopping the server also took long. The control now leaves that storage to the regular writer. On 1.0.38+mc1.21.1, setting vanilla_chunk_palette_direct_nbt=false avoids it.

This build carries the same 205 controls as 1.0.38+mc1.21.1; only this one changed.

Tested on dedicated servers with Bye Pregen 1.1.3.1: next to a mod that listens for chunk saves, 1.0.38+mc1.21.1 lost about 1,600 of 1,700 chunks, and this build saved every chunk with the same terrain. Without Bye Pregen this build behaves exactly like 1.0.38+mc1.21.1. The Embeddium client check passed too. The performance figures on the project page were measured on Forge 1.20.1 and do not describe this port.
