# Bolt
Stop typing `/home` for the thousandth time.
Bolt is a client-side quality-of-life mod that puts the commands you use every day one gesture away. Hold a key to open a radial wheel, point at the command you want, and release to run it. Prefer a hotkey? Bind any command to its own key and fire it instantly.
## Features
- **Command wheel** — hold a key, aim with the mouse, release to run. The wheel grows and rearranges itself as you add commands, so the labels stay readable instead of piling on top of each other.
- **Direct keybinds** — give any command its own key and run it without opening anything.
- **Dead simple editor** — a name, the command, done. Duplicate or delete a row in one click.
- **Your own labels** — the wheel shows the short name you picked (`home`, `rank`, `spawn`) while the full command appears at the bottom of the screen, so you always know exactly what is about to run.
- **As many commands as you want** — the list scrolls once it outgrows the screen.
- **Conflict-safe binding** — Bolt refuses to bind a key that another command or one of its own menus is already using, and tells you why.
- **Portuguese and English** included.
## How to use
1. Press **X** to open the command panel.
2. Click **+ Add command**, then type a name (`home`) and the command (`/home`).
3. Close the panel — it saves on its own.
4. Hold **Z**, move the mouse toward the command you want, and release.
To bind a command to its own key, click the **Key** column on that row and press the key you want. Press **Esc** while binding to clear it.
## Good to know
- **Client-side only.** There is nothing to install on the server, and it works anywhere you play — vanilla, Paper, Spigot, SMPs, minigame networks.
- **No special permissions.** Bolt sends the exact command you would have typed yourself, so it only ever runs commands you already have access to. If a command does not exist or you lack permission, the server answers just like it always would.
- Both keys are rebindable in **Options → Controls → Bolt**.
- Your commands live in `config/bolt/commands.json`.
