Welcome to Bodyguard Reinvented! This mod was born with the goal of redefining and far exceeding its predecessor (Bodyguard). If you play in Singleplayer / Offline worlds and feel like you could use a faithful companion to watch your back, this mod is for you!
Your bodyguard will always be on high alert, defending you from any monster or hostile entity that tries to harm you.
🏗️ How to Summon Your Bodyguard?
To get a bodyguard, you must build a "T" shaped structure in the world:
- Side Blocks and Base: Must be made of Wool.
- Core Block (Center): Defines the type and stats of your bodyguard. You can use a block of: Copper, Iron, Gold, Emerald, Diamond, or Netherite.
- Head: Place a Carved Pumpkin on the top center to bring it to life.

- 🛡️ Total Protection: Automatically attacks any nearby hostile mob or entity that threatens its owner's life.
- 🛑 Peaceful / Standby Mode: If you right-click your bodyguard, it will stay put and stop pursuing or attacking its current targets until you interact with it again.
- ⚔️ Customizable Equipment: You can equip your bodyguard with full armor sets and melee weapons to boost its battle performance even further.
- 💥 Adaptive Resilience: Its base stats depend directly on the type of core block used during construction.

🔌 Compatibility and Integration (API / Dependency)
I am currently working on expanding the mod's capabilities. The goal for the future is for Bodyguard Reinvented to function as a dependency / API so other developers can create and integrate their own custom bodyguards into their mods.
(This feature is not yet available in the current version, but will be coming in future updates).
