bloodborn shotgun

a mod focused around a main weapon, the bloodborn shotgun

its main function is that it doesnt use any bullets instead uses the users blood (hearts) to power it, to fill it just crouch and interact with it, another heart row will be displayed on top of the original one showing how much health will be reduced on use.

how do i obtain it?

since i wanted to make a unique experience, to obtain it you have to complete some tasks found in the "blood stained book" item witch can be bough from the cultist, an villager that can be found driving its cart on forests and plains

to continue you have to do the tasks inside of it witch are pretty straight forward and easy

also if you now have the book you might notice that it says you need to "sacrifice"

thats done with the sacrifice dagger another item added by the mod purely used to obtain the shotgun

to use it, place it in your offhand then shift-right click if you did everything right you'll get blinded for some seconds and it will damage you (5 hearts)

if you did a objective right a text will apear in your hotbar and a red mark will be put in front of the task

dance with the undead:

kill a zombie or skeleton with the dagger in hand, if you did it right the dagger now will be "enchanted"

sacrifice with this effect on to unlock

sacrifice a lot:

use the dagger for 11 times (tbh this one shouldnt be that hard to figure out)

bleed deep under the rocks:

go under Y 0 then get under a water source and sacrifice

pacts/enchanting

now that you have the shotgun there is a way of enchanting it but its not that easy.

first get the cultist to master he will now sell 2 of the 3 available pacts

now right click the pacts and a gui will appear

theres 3 pacts (for now)

incarnation:

doubles the amount of charge each time you pump the shotgun.

stronger pulse:

the shotgun now doesnt have cooldown.

blood carver:

each proyectile of the shotgun now has a 1 in 2 chance to heal back.

can i use it for a modpack?

-yes just make shure is a curseforge one.

can i publish it outside of curseforge?

-yes, the next update will expand the pact system right now is a bit rushed.

will there be a config file?

-for now no, but if a lot of people ask for it i will add some settings.
