Blood Bits: Flow 2.8.0-rc.6 — Forge 1.20.1 Beta
This release brings Blood Bits: Flow to Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge.
- Includes airborne blood droplets and clouds, pools, surface runoff, creature wounds and equipment stains.
- Adds optional Curios support for functional and cosmetic accessories, with persistent item blood, dirt and wetness.
- Lets removed wet equipment dry in the player's inventory.
- Improves inventory previews, model animation handling and new wound placement on captured model geometry.
- Corrects blood geometry for position-selected block variants, including Spore human remains.
- Adds support for recognised glass panels while retaining transparent holes in ordinary cutout textures.
- Adds automatic flame/liquid texture exclusions and a precise pixel-brush editor with zoom, grid and pan.
- Adds shared world/server controls for entity blood colours and bleeding modes.
- Refines dirt layering, blood/soil mixing, soot opacity, grass-soil colours and rain washing.
- Prevents blood/grime metadata updates from triggering equipment notifications.
- Reduces geometry allocations and wound-selection work, with bounded model caches and unchanged effect-detail settings.
Requirements: Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.10+ in the 47.x branch, Java 17. Install the same build on the client and server.
Optional: Curios API 5.14.1+1.20.1 or newer in the 5.x branch. MixinExtras 0.5.0 is bundled.
This is a beta release. Custom-model rendering and the latest visual changes still need in-game verification.
